DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Doughtie's Foods, Inc., Portsmouth, Va., was awarded on Jan. 23, 1998, an estimated $19,400,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for full line food distribution. Fifty-seven proposals were solicited and seven were received. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 25, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-96-D- 2900).

ARMY

Peterson Construction Co. Inc.*, Grand Forks, N.D., is being awarded a $5,774,974 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Squadron Operations/Aircraft Maintenance Unit Facility. Work will be performed at Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 105 bids solicited on Nov. 14, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb. (DACA45-98-C-0011).

R E T R A C T I O N

The modification to Contract DAAB07-96-C-A510 (Raytheon Co.), announced Jan. 23, 1998, is hereby retracted.

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Fairchild Systems, Yonkers, N.Y., is being awarded a $7,250,000 Firm Fixed Price contract to provide for 490 replacement computer kits applicable to the AN/ALR-56M(V) advanced radar warning receiver on the F-16 aircraft. The Boeing Company, Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $9,422,020 Time and Materials contract to provide for the incorporation of ten engineering changes into 33 C-17 aircraft. The changes include incorporation of Global Positioning System, Electronic Flight Control System, troop seats, upgraded software, hardware, and communication and modifications allowing two rows of cargo in the aircraft. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-97-C-0008, P00001)

NAVY

The Bedwell Company, West Chester, Pa., is being awarded a $14,737,426 modification to previously awarded contract N62472-96-C-0414 to exercise options for the Research and Development Facility Project for the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Ships Systems at the Naval Base, Philadelphia, to incorporate acoustical and electrical research facilities into various existing structures at the complex. The exercise of these options will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $19,718,024. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa., and is expected to be completed in January 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Northern Division, Lester, Penn., is the contracting activity.

Hughes Training, Inc., Herndon, Va., is being awarded a $6,250,000 modification to previously awarded contract N66604-97-C-4359 to update F/A-18 Air Crew Trainers 13C. This modification adds simulation of Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW), Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) and Standoff Land Attack Missile - Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) to the A/F air crew trainer upgrade. Work will be performed in Herndon, Va., and is expected to be completed in October 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity.
