DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Pocono Produce Co.*, Stroudsburg, Pa., is being awarded a $5,811,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for full-line food distribution. Eighty-five proposals were solicited and four were received. Work is expected to be completed by March 8, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-98-D-2917).

NAVY

  • AAI Corp., Hunt Valley, Md., is being awarded a $12,718,686 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity, fixed-price-incentive (successive targets) contract for generic Navy simulators/stimulators (GNSS). These GNSS units will enable various radar systems to be interfaced with the Battle Force Tactical Training System to provide realistic training onboard ships. Twelve first article sets of various radar components, two lots of common GNSS components, and 125 GNSS units are being procured on this contract. This contract also includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $26,666,672. Work will be performed in Hunt Valley, Md., and is expected to be completed

Engineering Technology Center, Inc., North Stonington, Conn., is being awarded a $9,988,929 modification to previously awarded contract N00167-96-D-0045 for engineering services in the area of machinery research, development, and test and evaluation. This work covers both surface ships and submarine research to assist the Machinery Research and Development Directorate, Naval Surface Warfare Center, West Bethesda, Md. This modification increases the total cumulative value of this contract to $26,252,676. Work will be performed in West Bethesda, Md. (50%), Rockville, Md. (25%), and at sites (ashore and afloat) yet to be determined (25%), and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $806,059 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Div., West Bethesda, Md., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Associates Relocation Management Company Inc., Washington, D.C., is being awarded a requirements contract (three years) contract with an estimated cumulative total of $99,890,726 for relocation service for civilian employees in Department of Defense throughout continental United States and its possessions Work will be performed throughout continental United States, and is expected to be completed by April 10, 2001. Contracts funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 10 bids solicited on Dec. 23, 1997, and three bids received. The contracting activity is the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA31-98-D-0022). GEC-Marconi Hazeltine Systems Corp., Wayne, N.J., is being awarded a $5,136,249 firm-fixed-price contract for various spares in support of the joint tactical information distribution system (JTIDS). This system is an integrated communication, navigation, identification (CNI) system. It provides secure jam-resistant communication of data and voice for command and control, navigation, relative position location and identification. JIDS is a time division multiple access (TDMA) data link communication system that is in service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Work will be performed in Wayne, N.J. (75%), and Cedar Rapids, La., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 25, 1997. The contracting activity is the U. S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-98-C-C609).

  • Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (a United Technologies Co.), is being awarded a $5,503,350 firm-fixed-price/indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract for 900 tips aircraft for Black Hawk helicopters. Work will be performed in Bridgeport, Conn. (80%), and Stratford, Conn. (20%), and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 10 bids solicited on April 8, 1995, and one bid received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command , Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH23-98-D-0036).
  • Delfasco Division David B. Lilly Co.*, Afton, Tenn., is being awarded a $5,538,825 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 426,720 BDU-33 practice bombs. Work will be performed in Afton, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 57 bids solicited on May 2, 1997, and seven bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions, and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAA09-97-C-0131).

CIVIL WORKS -NON MILITARY

ABB Power Generation Inc., Littleton, Colo., is being awarded a $500,000 increment as part of a $10,271,324 cumulative total firm-fixed-price contract for generator rewind for units 1 through 7 as part of the J. Storm Thurmond major rehabilitation project, J. Storm Thurmond Powerplant, Clarks Hill, Ga. Work will be performed in Littleton, Colo. (60%), and Clarks Hill, Ga., and is expected to be completed by May 1, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 35 bids solicited on March 28, 1997, and six bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga. (DACW21-98-C-0027).
