ARMY

United Defense, L. .P., Steel Products Division, Anniston, Ala., is being awarded a $5,278,676 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for exercise of option for: Overhaul, conversion of 242 vehicles within the M113 family of vehicles: 63 M113A3 vehicles, NSN: 2350-01-219-7677, 121 M577A3 vehicles, NSN: 2350-01-369-6085, 50 M1088A3 vehicles, NSN: 2350-01-369-6086, and 8 M1064A3 vehicles, NSN: 2350-01-369-6082. Work will be performed in Anniston, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 198. Of the total contract funds, $3,167,168 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 5 bids solicited on Feb. 5, 1993 and 5 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-93-A-A018).

TI/Martin Javelin Joint Venture, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $18,983,793 cost-plus-award-fee contract for engineering services Javelin Missile System. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., (45%) and Lewisville, Texas (55%), and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 31, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-C-0126).

Bral Environmental Services, Inc., Kansas City, Mo., is being awarded a $5,195,006 firm-fixed-price-construction contract for replacing nineteen family housing units and construction of various community improvements in the family housing area. There are 16 units to be demolished which includes asbestos abatement. The replacement units consists of 12 three-bedroom family housing units. Work includes handling chlordane-containing soil, utility connects for the new units, street lighting and replacing above ground electrical service with underground service. The community improvements includes upgrading and replacing storm drainage; lighting for streets and paths; install privacy screens approximately 109 units; construction of parking, paths, playground, recreation areas, and gas main with regulator/meter; and replace perimeter fence with cast concrete wall with brick trim. Work will be performed at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., and is expected to be completed by June 6, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 25 bids solicited on Dec. 2, 1997, and 2 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo. (DACA41-98-C-0013).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bindley Western Drug Company, Middletown, Pa., is being awarded a $70,971,600 firm-fixed-price modified-requirements contract for pharmaceuticals under the Prime Vendor program. Two hundred six proposals were solicited and four were received. Work is expected to be completed by March 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200-96-D-7018).

NAVY

Raytheon Systems Company, Ft. Wayne, Ind., is being awarded a $21,749,920 split, firm-fixed-price contract to procure 22,751 AN/SSQ-62E sonobuoys and associated data. The place of performance is yet to be determined, and is expected to be completed by March 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with two proposals solicited and two offers received. This is a split procurement under Class Justification and Approval Number CR 01240, based on a Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-2 citing industrial mobilization. It is customary practice to split procurements in the sonobuoy program to meet industrial mobilization requirements. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Div., Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-98-C-0024).

Aquidneck Management Associates, Ltd. Middletown, R.I., is being awarded a ceiling priced $10,765,197 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to improve standardized interactive presentation of weapon system troubleshooting. Work will be performed in Middletown, R.I. (80%); Germantown, Md. (10%); and Toronto, Canada (10%), and is expected to be completed by March 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $67,900 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was a Small Business Innovative Research Phase III selection effort and is considered to have satisfied the Federal Competition in Contracting Act. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Div., Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-98-D-2475).

Sparton Defense Electronics, DeLeon Springs, Fla., is being awarded a $5,258,478 split, firm-fixed-price contract to procure 3,000 AN/SSQ-62E sonobuoys and associated data. Work will be performed in DeLeon Springs, Fla., and is expected to be completed by March 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with two proposals solicited and two offers received.
