ARMY

Boro Developers Inc., King of Prussia, Pa., was awarded on March 31, 1998, an amount of $8,899,996, as part of a $9,450,663 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price contract for all work, including demolition, building construction and site work. Work will be performed in Wrightstown, N.J., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 75 bids solicited on Dec. 15, 1997, and 15 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York, N.Y. (DACA51-98-C-0028).

J. R. Roberts Corp., Citrus Heights, Calif., was awarded on March 31, 1998, a $14,176,500 firm-fixed-price construction contract. The project consists of demolition of 15 existing buildings, which includes asbestos and lead based paint abatement, along with site restoration and construction of a two-story U.S. Army Reserve Center; a one-story organizational maintenance shop/area maintenance support activity; a one-story classroom building; and a one-story support building. The buildings will consist of reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural steel frames, masonry veneer walls, standing seam metal roofs with metal roof deck, and mechanical, electrical and communications systems. Supporting facilities consist of paving, fencing, lighting, wash racks with oil/water separators, site improvements, and extensions of utilities. There is also an option item for dewatering. Work will be performed in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 2, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 61 bids solicited on Dec. 23, 1997, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif. (DACA05-98-C-0029).

PRIMEX Technologies, St. Petersburg, Fla., was awarded on March 31, 1998, a $16,124,044 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 120 mm tank ammunition rounds, M81A1 (13,520), and M865 (14,941). Work will be performed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on June 30, 1994, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-95-C-0036).

Global Engineering & Construction Joint Venture, Wichita Falls, Texas, is being awarded $8,000,000 as part of a not-to-exceed $40,000,000 (base year with four one-year options) indefinite quantity with firm-fixed task orders contract to provide renovation and minor construction for Category 500 Medical Facilities. Work will be performed at medical facilities within the continental United States and outside of the continental United States, and is expected to be completed by March 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 86 bids solicited on Nov. 6, 1997, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-98-D-0024).

John J. Kirlin Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded $8,000,000 as part of a not-to-exceed $40,000,000 (base year with four one-year options) indefinite quantity with firm-fixed task orders contract to provide renovation and minor construction for Category 500 Medical Facilities. Work will be performed at medical facilities within the continental United States and outside of the continental United States, and is expected to be completed by March 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 86 bids solicited on Nov. 6, 1997, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-98-D-0025).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Command and Control Systems, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $6,502,852 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for commercial off-the-shelf software, production support engineering, software development, and Tactical Forecast System infrastructure modifications in support of the Theatre Battle Management Core Systems. The work is expected to be completed September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-95/C-0143, P00161).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Denver, Colo., is being awarded an $8,919,695 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for a month extension of launch services, long lead procurement of test equipment , and procurement of ground systems equipment in support of the Titan II and IV launch vehicles. The work is expected to be completed April 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-95/C-0012, P00080).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Denver, Colo., is being awarded a $12,461,780 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for a one month extension of research and development support, and acquisition and assembly of test equipment in support of the Titan II and IV launch vehicles. The work is expected to be completed April 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96/C-0035, P00021).

NAVY

Hughes Aircraft Co., Naval and Maritime Systems Division, Fullerton, Calif., is being awarded a $7,600,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the production of two MK-1 ship self defense systems in FY 98. Work will be performed in Fullerton (80%) and San Diego (20%), Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 1999. This contract was not competitively procured. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-96-C-5453).

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $6,097,544 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0065 to update the F/A-18E/F part task trainer. Work will be performed in Tampa, Fla. (70%), and St. Louis, Mo. (30%), and is expected to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
