ARMY

United Defense Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division, Santa Clara, Calif., is being awarded a $7,449,896 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to exercise a partial option for 60,172 engineering support hours on the Bradley A3 upgrade, engineering and manufacturing development contract. Work will be performed in San Jose, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 25, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 15, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-94-C-0456).

Government Technology Service Inc.*, Chantilly, Va.; Vanstar Government Services Inc.*, Fairfax, Va.; and Comark Federal Systems*, Chantilly, Va., are each being issued a firm-fixed-price blanket purchase agreement, DAAB07-98-A-V003, DAAB07-98-A-V004, and DAAB07-98-A-V005 respectively, together valued at $50,000,000, for general purpose personal computer components and peripherals in support of the Army's mission to enable a user to upgrade, enhance, optimize, and improve the overall performance of existing computer configurations/platforms. Work will be performed by Government Technology Service Inc. in Chantilly, Va.; by Vanstar Government Services Inc. in Winchester, Va., and by Comark Federal Systems in Chantilly, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 1999. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order. There were 17 bids solicited on Jan. 21, 1998, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command-Washington, Alexandria, Va.

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Launching Systems, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded an $18,045,377 firm-fixed-price contract for the production of MK 41 vertical launching systems, installation support, and ancillary hardware for Japan under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Lockheed Martin will award a major subcontract to United Defense Limited

Partnership (UDLP), Minneapolis, Minn. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md. (58%), Aberdeen, S.D. (25%), and Minneapolis, Minn. (17%), and is expected to be completed by August 2003. This contract was not competitively procured. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-5363).

  • Systems Integration & Research, Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $6,707,677 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide program management support services for Program Executive Office, Theater Air Defense (PEO(TAD)). This contract includes options which,
  • if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $40,774,913. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 2002. This contract was competitively procured with six offers received. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
