AIR FORCE

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Wichita, Kansas, is being awarded a $25,000,000 time-and-materials contract to provide for repair and modification services for the C/KC-135 and B-52 aircraft. The work is expected to be completed December 2002. Solicitation began May 1997; negotiations were completed April 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-98/D-0074).

ARMY

Rockwell Collins Inc., Communications Systems Division, Richardson, Texas, is being awarded an $8,000,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price/time-and-materials contract for reconfiguration and fixed site installation of Single Channel Anti-Jam Manportible Terminals (SCAMP). Work will be performed in Richardson, Texas (88.5%); Concord, Mass. (4%); McLean, Va. (3%); Lowell, Mass. (2%); Redondo Beach, Calif. (1%); Calabasas, Calif. (.5%); Rochester, N.Y. (.5%); and Encinitas, Calif. (.5%), and is expected to be completed by Feb. 23, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 11, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-96-C-A760).

Rockwell Collins Inc., Communications Systems Division, Richardson, Texas, is being awarded a $10,376,396 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for the purchase of additional universal modem systems for tactical and strategic use. Work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three bids solicited on Nov. 8, 1996, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-97-C-A157).

Contract DAAB10-90-C-7068, announced April 3, 1998 should have read as follows:

California Microwave-Airborne Systems Integration Division, Belcamp, Md., is being awarded a $6,166,575 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-award-fee, firm-fixed-price contract for completion of the aircraft modification of two ARL-M planes. Work will be performed in Hagerstown, Md. (90%) and Belcamp, Md. (10%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were ten bids solicited on Jan. 30, 1990, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Warrenton, Va. (DAAB10-90-C-7068).

NAVY

Raytheon TI Systems, Inc., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $10,973,483 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, delivery order contract for labor, equipment, and materials needed to provide technological support for the Uncooled Focal Plan Array, under the Direct Attack Munition Affordable Seeker Image Guided Bomb project. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas (80%), and China Lake, Calif. (20%), and is expected to be completed by April 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $39,120 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 10 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68936-98-D-0036).

Sierra Technologies, Inc., Sierra Research Division, Buffalo, N.Y., is being awarded an $8,623,164 split, firm-fixed-price contract for production of two AN/USQ-82(V) fiber optic data multiplex systems. Work will be performed in Buffalo, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with two proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-5221).

Communications and Power Industries, Microwave Power Tube Products Division, Palo Alto, Calif., is being awarded a $7,568,186 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research in high power vacuum electronic devices. The proposed research includes studies on millimeter wave high power vacuum electronic devices in the areas of power increases, efficiency enhancement, bandwidth broadening, and noise reduction. Work will be performed in Palo Alto, Calif., and is expected to be completed by April 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $100,893 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under a Naval Research Laboratory broad agency announcement. The Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00173-98-C-2010).
