NAVY

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $169,800,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-97-C-0136 to definitize the advanced acquisition contract for the FY 98 Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP II) of eight F/A-18E and 12 F/A-18F aircraft and associated hardware to a fixed price incentive fee contract. This effort will also fully fund the contract to the target price. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (60%) and Hawthorne, Calif. (40%), and is expected to be completed by October 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

EG&G Washington Analytical Services Center, Dahlgren, Va., is being awarded a $18,957,315 cost-plus-fixed-fee term contract for advanced networking concepts and computer systems aboard Naval ships. Work will be performed in Dahlgren, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 48 proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity (N00178-98-C-3007).

Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Naval Systems Division, Cleveland, Ohio, is being awarded a $7,864,330 firm-fixed-price contract option for an additional 78 MK48 ADCAP Mods Torpedoes. Work will be performed in Cleveland, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by July 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-95-C-6190).

ARMY

Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp., Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, Scranton, Pa., is being awarded a $20,600,074 firm-fixed-price contract for 85,304 Projectile Metal Parts (155 mm, HE, M795); 85,304 Lift Plugs; 85,304 Gaskets; 85,304 Flexible Rotating Band Covers, and 10,663 Metal Pallets. Work will be performed in Scranton, Pa. (90%) and Rock Island, Ill.

(10%), and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 14 bids solicited on Sept. 30, 1997, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. (DAAE30-98-C-1037).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Specialty Plastic Products of Pennsylvania, Inc.*, Dunmore, Pa., is being awarded a $5,383,868 firm-fixed-price contract for soft small arms protective body armor; hard small arms protective body armor; hard front assembly small arms protective body armor; and hard small arms protective body armor inserts. Thirty-three proposals were solicited and four were received. Work will be performed in Jefferson City, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by January 2000. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO100-98-C-6000).

Star Foods Processing, Inc.*, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $7,101,387 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for various tray pack ration entrees. Seventy-two proposals were solicited and three were received. Work is expected to be completed by January 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-97-D-Z212).
