AIR FORCE

Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corp., Carson City, Nev., is being awarded a $16,286,975 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for repair of 26,146 (best estimated quantity) high pressure turbine nozzles applicable to the TF-39 engine on the C-5 aircraft. Two firms solicited, two responses received. Estimated contract completion date is May 2003. Solicitation closing date was 13 Mar 98. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-98-D-0322).

NAVY

Unidyne Corp., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $22,304,500 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering and technical services in support of the Module Test & Repair Program (MTR). Computer engineering services for the MTR Program involving productivity requirements for Gold Disk, "computer disk" technology and the training of military and civilian personnel in utilizing this technology to analyze and repair circuit card assembly failures. This contract combines a services for the U.S. Navy (93.2%) and the governments of New Zealand (1%), Australia (1%), Spain (.8%), Kuwait (.8%), Oman (.8%), Saudi Arabia (.8%), Thailand (.8%), and Taiwan (.8%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $175,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 59 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-98-D-3139).

Rogers-Quinn Construction, Inc., Bonsall, Calif., is being awarded a $6,175,026 firm-fixed-price contract which provides for all labor, approved materials, equipment, and incidental related work required for remodeling of the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, Building 848, at the Naval Air Station, Lemoore, Calif. Work will be performed in Lemoore, Calif., and is expected to be completed by April 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 49 proposals solicited and nine offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-95-C-2525).

ARMY

Hensel Phelps Construction Co., Austin, Texas, is being awarded a $17,899,811 increment as part of a $60,877,000 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract with a cumulative total of $63,177,000 if all options are exercised. The work and services to be performed consist of constructing a 500 person correctional facility with all associated support and administrative facilities. This project is designed using soft metric materials. Roofs will be fully adhered single-ply membranes. Exterior walls consist of load-bearing concrete masonry units with split-face block veneer. Interior partitions are a combination of steel stud and CMU. A separate energy plant will be constructed to provide hot and chilled water to the facility. Other site work includes utility extensions and connections, overhead and underground electrical service, new road to the site, walks, curb and gutter, and parking. Options will include additional parking, kitchen, laundry and food service equipment. Work will be performed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and is expected to be completed by May 4, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 1,021 bids solicited on Nov. 10, 1997, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo. (DACA41-98-C-0023).
