DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bindley Western Industries, Inc., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $35,203,975 firm-fixed-price modified-requirements contract for pharmaceuticals under the Prime Vendor program. Six proposals were solicited and two were received. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by May 11, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Continental Foods, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $8,800,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for full-line food distribution. Sixty-five proposals were solicited and seven were received. Work is expected to be completed by May 9, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Golden Manufacturing Co., Inc.**, Golden, Miss., is being awarded a maximum $12,398,735 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity-type contract for type VI enhanced hot weather trousers. Forty-two proposals were solicited and four were received. Work will be performed in Marietta, Miss., and is expected to be completed by October 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO100-95-D- 0360).

Propper International, Inc.**, Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, is being awarded a maximum $24,829,550 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity-type contract for type VI enhanced hot weather woodland camouflage trousers. Forty-two proposals were solicited and four were received. Work will be performed in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico; Adjuntas, Puerto Rico; and Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, and is expected to be completed by June 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. ARMY

Olin Corp., Winchester Division, Independence, Mo., was awarded on May 7, 1998, a $5,019,825 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for the operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated facility, and production of small caliber ammunition, e.g., 7.62 mm, 5.56 mm, and caliber .50, to support the troops in the field. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 30, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-91-Z-0009).

Caterpillar Inc., Defense & Federal Products, Mossville, Ill., is being awarded a modification to a firm-fixed-price (core effort), cost-plus-fixed-fee (additional work) contract with a cumulative total of $45,665,000. Appropriation numbers and dollar values will be issued with each delivery order. Work will be performed both inside and outside of the continental United States, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 21, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-95-D-X003).

C O R R E C T I O N

The announcement on May 7, 1998 of a contract award to BDM International Inc., McLean, Va., gave an incorrect contract number. The listing should have read DAMT01-98-D-1005.

AIR FORCE

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $27,536,804 firm-fixed-price-requirements contract to provide for the 9376 (best estimated quantity) Fourth Stage Turbine Blade Sets applicable to the TF-33 engine on the KC-135, C-141, B-52 and E-3 aircraft. One firm solicited, one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is 2002. Solicitation issue date was January 1998. Negotiation completion date was April 1998. McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $6,613,347 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for one Enhanced Aircraft Radar Test Station applicable to the F-15 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is July 1999. Negotiation completion date was March 1998. NAVY

Allison Engine Company, Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $36,819,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0209 to definitize an existing advance acquisition contract to fully fund the FY 97 procurement of 10 production AE1107C engines, to provide funding for the manufacture and delivery of 14 FY 98 AE1107C production engines and three FY 98 AE 1107C spare engines, including associated integrated logistic support management and technical/financial data. The AE1107C engine is used on the V-22A Osprey. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed by May 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Morrison Knudsen Corp., Highland, Calif., is being awarded a $14,734,000 firm-fixed-price contract for containerized ordnance support. Work will be performed in Concord, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 83 offers solicited and 10 proposals received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-96-C-6226).

Energy Matter Conversion Corp., Manassas Park, Va., is being awarded a $9,255,259 cost-plus-fixed-fee expansion contract for research on clean, small-scale inertial-electrostatic-fusion for U.S. Navy advance energy systems. Work will be performed in Manassas Park, Va. (90%), Del Mar, Calif. (5%), and Albuquerque, N.M., and is expected to be completed by October 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. A Naval Research Broad Agency Announcement #97-024, dated June 17, 1997, solicited bids, with four proposals received. The Office of Naval Research, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00014-96-C-0039, Modification P00007).

Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $7,858,924 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-94-C-0156 to procure 8 advanced imaging multi-spectral sensors for the P-3C anti-surface warfare improvement program FY 98 production lot. Work will be performed in Eagan, Minn. (90%) and Clearwater, Fla. (10%), and is expected to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
