AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded an $84,324,015 face value increase to a cost-plus-incentive-fee-contract to provide for engineering and manufacturing development for the Common Configuration Implementation Program in support of the F-16 Block 40/50 aircraft. The EMD phase will develop interfaces to facilitate integration of the Modular Mission Computer, the Link 16 ground-air datalink, the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System, and the Color Multi-Function Display Set into the aircraft. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is August 2001. Solicitation issue date was March 31, 1997. Negotiation completion date was May 8, 1998. Boeing North American, Inc., Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded an $11,129,096 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for Aircraft Modification Kits to install the Towed Decoy System on the B-1B platform. Expected contract completion date is March 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98-C-2000)

ARMY

FN Manufacturing Inc., Columbia, S.C., is being awarded an $11,347,618 modification to a firm-fixed-price multi-year contract for 673 machine guns (M240B) from program year two and a partial quantity of 767 machine guns (M240B) from program year three. Work will be performed in Columbia, S.C., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2002. Of the total contract funds, $181,247 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 12, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAE20-97-C-0255).
