ARMY

JAYCOR*, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $1,063,866 increment as part of a $5,151,400 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and demonstration of forward-looking sensors package technology, for a vehicular mounted mine detector (VMMD). Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (80%), and Nashua, N.H. (20%), and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 24 bids solicited on May 6, 1997, and 24 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-98-C-6017).

United Defense Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $51,890,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 80 Bradley M2A2 Operation Desert Storm Vehicles (remanufactured), and 14 Bradley M6 Linebacker Vehicles (remanufactured). Work will be performed in York, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 13, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-96-C-X036).

AIR FORCE

Boeing Information, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $6,144,475 face value increase to a cost-plus-fixed-fee-contract to provide for test support, software development, and system engineering in support of the Electronic Command Signal Programmer Replacement Development effort for the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. Expected contract completion date is April 1999. Solicitation issue date was March 16, 1998. Negotiation completion date was May 28, 1998. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-95-C-0241/P00111).

Applied Data Technology, Inc., San Diego, Calif., was awarded on May 29, 1998, a $6,310,242 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for upgrade of 82 P4B Airborne Integration System (AIS) pods, 7 ASM-694 AIS Test Sets, and ground system components for the Yukon Measurement and Debriefing Range, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, and the Alaska Range,

Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. This upgrade will include modifications to integrate Global Positioning System, an Advanced Message Oriented Data System Module, and an Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile downlink into the aforementioned ranges. There were five firms solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is June 2000. Solicitation issue date was March 10, 1998. Negotiation completion date was May 22, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-98-C-0021).

NAVY

  • Allison Engine Company, Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $7,716,133 basic ordering agreement to procure 6,871 turbine engine vanes used on the T-56 engine supporting
  • C-130, E-2/C-2, and P-3 aircraft. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed in July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (F34601-95-G-0012).
