ARMY

United Defense Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division, Santa Clara, Calif., is being awarded a $21,147,255 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for systems technical support for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System and Multiple Launched Rocket System programs and Bradley field service support. Work will be performed in San Jose, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 16, 1994. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-95-C-X030).

MDP Construction Inc.*, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $6,904,861 firm-fixed-price contract, for construction of a Close Combat Tactical Trainer building. The contractor is to furnish all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and perform all work for providing a tactical training building which includes the following functional areas: vehicle simulator bay, classrooms, briefing/debriefing areas, audiovisual training rooms, spare part and tool storage/repair/maintenance areas, administrative offices, a mud room, and material storage areas; and associated utility support systems, sitework and landscaping. Work will be performed at Fort Carson, Colo., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 91 bids solicited on March 27, 1997, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb. (DACA45-98-C-0042).

Colt's Manufacturing Co. Inc., Hartford, Conn., is being awarded an $18,148,960 firm-fixed-price contract for 88,037 each M16A1 Rifle Modification Kits in support of the M16A2 rifle. Work will be performed in Hartford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by May 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 14 bids solicited on Jan. 30, 1998, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAE20-98-C-0113).

Royal Ordnance North America Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a

cumulative total of $88,000,000, for RDX/HMX bulk explosives. Work will be performed at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tenn. (60%); and Bridgewater, England (40%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. There were three bids solicited on April 1, 1998, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-98-D-0005).

Royal Ordnance North America Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a cumulative total of $75,000,000, for the operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated facility. Work will be performed at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 1, 2023. There were three bids solicited on April 1, 1998, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-98-E-0006).

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $5,902,310 cost-plus-fixed-fee-contract to provide for identification and demonstration of composite report materials and installation techniques to restore structural integrity, reduce repair time, reduce operational costs, increase survivability and ensure continued airworthiness of aircraft. Expected contract completion date is June 26, 2003. Solicitation issue date was March 31, 1997. Negotiation completion date was June 22, 1998. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-97-C-3219).

AAI Corp., Hunt Valley, Md., is being awarded a $7,203,900 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for safety modification of thirty-three MHU-204 Munitions Lift Trailers applicable to the B-2 and B-52 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is August 1999. Negotiation completion date was April 21, 1998. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-92-C-1554-P00027).

Raytheon Missile Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $19,320,719 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for 64 AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM), one lot of Programmable Advanced Systems Interface Simulators and support, and one log of spares. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is November 30, 1999. Solicitation issue date was December 19, 1997. Negotiation completion date was March 27, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-98-C-0018-P00001).

Boeing Information, Space and Defense Systems, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $5,259,143 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for 32 communication kits and 8 processor kits to provide a broadcast intelligence capability to the E-3 Airborne

Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. The combination of the communication and processor kits allows aircraft to access near real time intelligence data provided by the Tactical Intelligence Broadcast Service and other intelligence networks. Expected contract completion date is January 19, 2000. Solicitation issue date was January 23, 1998. Negotiation completion date was June 10, 1998. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-95-C-0241/P00108).

Johnson Control World Services, Inc., Cape Canaveral, Fla., is being awarded a $133,652,652 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity-contract to provide for visual information products/files/services through July 2006 in support of the Kennedy Space Center and the 45th Space Wing, Cape Canaveral Air Station, both in Florida. This effort includes still and video photographic support for space launch and landing events. There were 82 firms solicited and five proposals received. Expected contract completion date is July 2006. Solicitation issue date was May 20, 1997. Negotiation completion date was April 10, 1998. The 45th Space Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08650-98-D-0018).
