NAVY

Lockheed Corp., Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $58,440,439 cost-plus-incentive-fee, firm-fixed-price contract for the non-recurring engineering and production of three pre-production P-3C block modification upgrade kits. The upgrade will provide color displays at tactical crew stations and modern avionics to address obsolescence issues in the mission computer and acoustic signal processor system. Work will be performed in Eagan, Minn. (50%), Manassas, Va. (23%), Greenville, S.C. (9%), Anaheim, Calif. (7%), Santa Clara, Calif. (4.6%), Greenlawn, N.Y. (3.4%), with the remaining (3%) at other miscellaneous locations across the U.S., and is expected to be completed June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-C-0013).

Central Gulf Lines, Inc., New Orleans, La., is being awarded a $32,737,209 time charter contract for the charter of the MV Green Wave. The MV Green Wave is a multipurpose vessel used to supply areas of Greenland and Antarctica for the Navy and the Air Force. The vessel will also be used to transport other special military cargo, including ammunition. Work will be performed in waters off Greenland and Antarctica, and is expected to be completed January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 250 proposals solicited and seven offers received. The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-98-C-5500).

Pioneer UAV, Inc., Hunt Valley, Md., is being awarded a $10,635,360 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-97-C-0010 for the procurement of 15 Pioneer unmanned air vehicles spares. Work will be performed Hunt Valley, Md., and is expected to be completed in February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $5,267,809 indefinite-delivery, cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing contact for research and development engineering, and management support services for current and anticipated near term avionics,

shipboard navigation systems engineering, communications systems engineering, and configuration management related to the global positioning system program. This contract contains two options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $9,049,542. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed July 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 25 proposals solicited and one offer received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-98-D-5005).

ARMY CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Norfolk Dredging Co., Chesapeake, Va., is being awarded a $2,000,000 increment as part of a $6,800,995 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract, with a cumulative total of $6,991,920 if all options are exercised, for Phase I construction dredging and deepening of San Juan Harbor. Work will be performed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 7, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 204 bids solicited on April 17, 1998, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Fla. (DACW17-98-C-0022).
