Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $20,039,972 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for repair of 120 (best estimated quantity) fan rotor assemblies over five years. These are applicable to the TF39 engine on the C-5 aircraft. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date will be based on issuance of orders. Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $7,238,431 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for seven Improved Avionics Intermediate Shop Interface Test Adapters. Approximately 57% of this effort (four sets) supports foreign military sales to Portugal, Taiwan, Egypt, and Greece. Expected contract completion date is June 30, 2000. Solicitation issue date was April 27, 1998. Negotiation completion date is July 20, 1998. Sikorsky Support Services, Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $147,702,818 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity requirements contract to procure intermediate and organizational level maintenance for 100 T-2C, 53 TA-4J, 2 HH-1N, and 3 UH-3H aircraft under the Chief of Naval Air Training flight training program. Work will be performed in Meridian, Miss. (70%), Pensacola, Fla. (23%), and Corpus Christi, Texas (7%), and is expected to be completed by August 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 21 proposals solicited and four offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-D-0107).
Logicon Syscon, Defense Systems Div., Dahlgren, Va., is being awarded a $38,822,689 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for technical and engineering support in the systems engineering, integration, development, maintenance, documentation, and operation of training tools for the Aegis Training and Readiness Center. Work will be performed in Dahlgren, Va. (75%), Norfolk, Va. (14%), San Diego, Calif. (8%), Mayport, Fla. (2%), and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (1%), and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $500,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
