AIR FORCE

Raytheon Training Inc., Binghamton, N.Y., was awarded on August 14, 1998, a $150,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity-contract to provide for contractor logistics support through September 2008 for the Training System in support of the B-2 aircraft. Solicitation issue date was April 27, 1998. Negotiation completion date was July 27, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98-D-0005).

NAVY

The DD 21 Alliance, comprised of Bath Iron Works Corp., Bath, Maine, and Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded a $16,500,000 agreement modification to previously awarded contract N00024-98-9-2300 for the Phase I development of DD 21 design concepts. Bath Iron Works Corp. has been selected by the DD 21 Alliance to lead the alliance and execute the Phase I agreement. The Phase I agreement provides for the establishment of two competing teams who will perform requirements analyses and trade studies, and develop two competitive DD 21 system concept designs. Each team will implement total ship systems engineering and cost as an independent variable principles in order to achieve significant reductions in ship procurement costs, operation and support costs, and manning levels over current Navy combatants. This agreement has a potential cumulative value of $68,500,000. Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J. (30%), Pascagoula, Miss. (25%), Falls Church, Va. (25%), and Bath, Maine (20%), and is expected to be completed in October 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems/Product Support and Services Co., Sterling Heights, Mich., is being awarded a $6,582,182 to a firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance and supply support activities in Kuwait for the Kuwait Land Forces fleet of M1A2 Abrams Tanks, M113A3 Armored Personnel Carrier-Ambulance, M577A3 Command Post Vehicle and M88A2 Recovery

Vehicle. Work will be performed in Sterling Heights, Mich. (10%), and Kuwait (90%), and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were35 bids solicited on April 28, 1995, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-95-C-X070).

Aeromaritime Mediterranean LTD, Chantilly, Va., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $785,803 as part of a $5,527,206 firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for maintenance and overhaul for the T703-AD-700A (r) compressors in Support of the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior. Work will be performed in Malta and is expected to be completed by September 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 11 bids solicited on June 11, 1998, and nine bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH23-98-D-0103).
