DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bergen Brunswig Medical Corporation, Orange, Calif., is being awarded a $9,870,000 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for medical and surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Richmond, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 12, 1999. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200-96-D-7124/SP0200-97-D-7136).

ARMY

Epic Construction Co.*, Abilene, Texas, is being awarded $8,283,800 (base year total of $7,892,700 plus options 1-9), as part of a $9,160,895 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an Operations Facility for the B-1B 13th Bomb Squadron. Work will be performed at Dyess Air Force Base, Abilene, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Jan. 15, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 24 bids solicited on July 14, 1998, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ft. Worth, Texas (DACA63-98-C-0033).

Radian International LLC, Rockville, Md., is being awarded $7,568,590 as part of a $12,240,922 cost-plus-fixed-fee task order award against an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for hazardous materials abatement and demolition of Pentagon Wedge 1, Arlington, Va. Work is expected to be completed by March 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 25, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA31-96-D-0026).

NAVY

Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $45,387,055 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for advance procurement and advance construction for the CVN 77 aircraft carrier program. This contract includes three options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $190,430,693. Work will be performed in Newport

News, Va., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-2104).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $7,000,000 fixed-price order for four quick engine kits (QECs) and QEC spare parts (partial kits) used in support of E2C aircraft. Work will be performed in Melbourne, Fla. (45%), Bethpage, N.Y. (40%), St. Augustine, Fla. (11%), Rolling Meadows, Ill. (3%), and Dallas, Texas (1%), and is expected to be completed by June 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-97-G-005B) (Order KK01).
