ARMY

Maxwell Technologies Systems Division Inc., San Leandro, Calif., was awarded on Sept. 30, 1998, a $2,189,600 increment as part of a $6,034,795 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for power flow development for the DECADE PRS simulator. Work will be performed in San Leandro, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 25, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were six bids solicited on April 1, 1998, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the Defense Special Weapons Agency, Alexandria, Va. (DSWA01-98-C-0166).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

PCL Civil Constructors Inc., Tempe, Ariz., was awarded on Sept. 30, 1998, a $5,134,900 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of approximately 6.4 miles of covered channel and 0.4 miles of rectangular concrete, including a maintenance road and two side drains which will provide 100-year flood protection. Work will be performed in Las Vegas**, Nev., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 1, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 52 bids solicited on Aug. 13, 1998, and nine bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles, Calif. (DACW09-98-C-0054).

NAVY

Alpha Marine Services, Galliano, La., is being awarded a $34,450,000 firm-fixed-price with reimbursables contract for time charter of R/V Cory Chouest to provide the principal support platform for the government's surveillance towed array sonar system and the low frequency active array system. The charter period is for five years with the U.S. government's option to cancel after Dec. 31, 1999. Work will be performed in the Pacific Fleet area, and is expected to be completed by October 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-99-C-2000).

GEC Marconi Avionics, Inc., Norcross, Ga., is being awarded a $12,152,157 direct vendor delivery requirements contract for the direct vendor delivery supply support of the standard central air data computer systems used on F-14, E-2C, C-2, S-3 and EA-6B aircraft. This contract contains options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to $27,002,948. Work will be performed in Norcross, Ga., and is expected to be completed by September 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $2,768,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-98-D-014G).

AIR FORCE

The MITRE Corp., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $1,221,533,321 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for FY 1999-2003 systems engineering and integration support for Air Force and Foreign Military Programs. Less than 1% of this effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia, France, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2003. Solicitation issue date was Aug. 18, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 29, 1998. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-99-C-0001).

The Aerospace Corp., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $368,000,000 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for an estimated 1,824 staff years of technical effort for scientific engineering and technical effort in support of the Air Force and other Government agencies during FY 1999. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Oct. 1, 1998. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-93-C-0094-P00038).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Palmdale, Calif., is being awarded a $2,054,514,067 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract to provide for FY 1999-2006 sustainment support for the F-117 aircraft. This effort includes logistics support, sustainment engineering, material management, technical data, and depot repair. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2006. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 30, 1997. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 16, 1998. Sacramento Air Logistics Center, McClellan AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F33657-98-D-0117).

TRW, Inc., Redondo Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $37,352,845 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for FY 1999 Spacecraft Constellation Support, Spacecraft Operations and Maintenance, and Development Engineering in support of the Defense Support Program satellite system. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 1999. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0030-P00018).

Westest Engineering Corp., Farmington, Utah, is being awarded a $34,482,417 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for automatic test and repair capability for the F-16 aircraft. Lockheed Martin Technical Operations Company, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $36,572,060 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for FY 1999 operations, support, maintenance, and training support for the 50th Space Wing. Approximately 5% of this effort supports foreign military sales to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the United Kingdom. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 1999. The 50th Contracting Squadron, Schriever AFB, Colo., is the contracting activity (FA2550-97-C-0003).

Anteon Corp., Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a $6,300,000 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity-cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for research and development support for the Laser Materials Interaction Testing program. This effort will investigate the interaction between various lasers and materials in a variety of simulated operational environments. Expected contract completion date is Feb. 1, 2004. Mason and Hanger Corp., Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $25,415,815 face value increase to a fixed-price-incentive-firm-target-with-award-fee contract to provide for FY 1999 operation, maintenance, and support of the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System, Clear Air Station, Alaska, and the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System at Cavalier Air Station, North Dakota. Boeing Information, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $50,000,000 firm-fixed-price-incentive contract to provide for FY 1999 contractor logistic support for the VC-25A and C-137 Special Mission Aircraft. Nutmeg Companies Inc., Norwich, Conn., was awarded on Sept. 30, a $7,482,520 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for renovation of the commissary at Fort Meade, Md. Raytheon Service Company, Burlington, Mass., is being awarded a $14,164,295 face value increase to a fixed-price-incentive-with-award-fee contract to provide for FY 1999 management, operation, maintenance, and logistic support of the AN/PPS-123(v)1/2/3/4 Solid State Phased Array Radars. Decson Construction Company, McAllen, Texas, is being awarded an $8,686,890 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for design and construction of a retail exchange mall at Lemoore Naval Air Station, Calif. There were 30 firms solicited and two proposals received. Solicitation issue date was July 28, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 1, 1998. GRC International, Inc., Santa Barbara, Calif.; Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas; and MacAulay-Brown, Inc., Dayton, Ohio, are being awarded a $48,500,000 (Estimated Total Program Value) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to participate in a program to provide technical engineering services through Sept. 2003 in support of Air Force information warfare and command and control programs. DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

Computer Associates International, Reston, Va. is being awarded a $6,802,973 firm-fixed-price contract for the renewal of Computer Associates software license and maintenance at the Defense Megacenter in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Delivery, inspection and acceptance will take place at DMC-Mechanicsburg. The period of performance will be Oct. 1, 1998 through Sept. 30, 1999. This was a sole source acquisition.
