DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Mobil Oil Corporation, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $5,383,725 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, grade JP-8. Work will be performed in Beaumont, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Command, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-98-D-0508).

ARMY C O R R E C T I O N

Contract DAAE07-98-C-M005 announced Oct. 14, 1998 incorrectly listed the estimated total. The contract announcement should have read as follows:

Stewart & Stevenson Services Inc., Sealy, Texas, is being awarded $27,046,877 as the first increment of an estimated $1,424,094,846 four-year/multi-year firm-fixed-price contract (includes a one-year option) for 113 various 2 1/2 and 5 ton trucks and respective trailers, part of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles. Work will be performed in Sealy, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 4, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 10, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-98-C-M005).

AIR FORCE

Carothers Construction, Water Valley, Miss., is being awarded an $11,964,859 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for design and construction of a commissary at Naval Air Station Oceana, Va. There were 72 firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is April 12, 2000. Solicitation issue date was July 27, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 30, 1998. Air Education and Training Command Contracting Squadron, Lackland AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41689-98-C-0265).

Litton Systems Inc., Woodland Hills, Calif., is being awarded a $5,967,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 78 Embedded Global Positioning System (GPS)/Inertial Navigation System (INS) units, associated chassis modifications, and mounts applicable to the F/A-18 aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Australia. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F3365794-C-2181-P00030).

NAVY

Harper/Nielsen Dillingham Builders (a joint venture), San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $7,931,775 task order under a multiple awardee design/build solution order concept contract for a Mark V waterfront operations support facility. The scope of work will include demolition of four buildings, construction of a 7,342 square meter building, and incidental related work. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $150,000,000. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed in November 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 100 proposals solicited and 12 offers received with awards made to multiple contractors. These contractors compete for each task order under the terms and conditions of the existing multiple awardee contract. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-97-D-8819).
