DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Thermo Pac Inc.*, Stone Mountain, Ga., is being awarded a $5,561,325 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for plain cheese spread; jalapeno cheese spread; peanut butter; apple jelly; grape jelly; blackberry jam; and strawberry jam. Seventy-four proposals were solicited and 14 were received. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-97-D-Z118).

Sterling Foods, Inc.*, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $10,707,638 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for pineapple pound cake; orange pound cake; chocolate mint pound cake; oatmeal cookie bar; vanilla pound cake; lemon pound cake; fudge brownie; and chocolate cookie. Seventy-four proposals were solicited and 14 were received. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-97-D-Z122).

Tennessee Apparel Corp*, Tullahoma, Tenn., is being awarded an estimated $17,115,962 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for parkas ECWCS NSN 8415-01228-1306(S). One hundred thirty-nine proposals were solicited and two were received. Work will be performed in Tullahoma, Tenn.; Huntsville, Tenn.; and Whitwell, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 23, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO100-96-D-4002/0033).

AIR FORCE

BTG Inc., Fairfax, Va.; MacAulay-Brown Inc., Dayton, Ohio; Ball Aerospace and Technology Group, Boulder, Colo.; and Computer Sciences Corp., Falls Church, Va., are being awarded a $353,600,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to participate in a program to provide information warfare related engineering technical services to the Air Force Information Warfare Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, through Nov. 19, 2003. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. There were 77 firms solicited and six proposals received.

Expected contract completion date is Nov. 19, 2003. Solicitation issue date was May 26, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Oct. 16, 1998. The 668th Logistics Squadron, San Antonio, Texas, is the contracting activity (BTG Inc., F41621-99-D-7702; MacAulay-Brown, Inc., F41621-99-D-7701; Ball Aerospace, F41621-99-D-7700; Computer Sciences Corp., F41621-99-D-7703).

NAVY

L3 Communications, Salt Lake City, Utah, has been awarded an $26,574,983 contract option for production of five Common High Bandwidth Data Link Surface Terminals (CHBDL-ST) and associated engineering support services. The CHBDL-ST provides a shipboard terminal data link for receipt and transmission of signal and imagery intelligence data between combatant aircraft. The contract contains four one-year options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative contract value to $129,630,856. Work will be performed in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is expected to be completed in July 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the world wide web, and one offer was received. L3 Communications developed the CHBDL terminal and is completing the initial production run. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00039-98-C-3007).

Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $15,335,648 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide Information Warfare - Defend (IW-D) technical and managerial support services to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command's information systems security/information warfare defense program office. IW-D services will include systems security engineering, system implementation and installation support, integrated logistics support, and general program management support. The contract contains four one-year options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative contract value to $72,224,103. Multiple FY99 funding sources of $1.8 million will be obligated at award. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and will be completed in September 2003. Funding is from multiple sources and will expire at the end of the fiscal years from which the funds are derived. This contract was competitively procured via the world wide web on an unrestricted basis, and one offer was received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00039-99-C-3103)

Honeywell, Inc., Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded an $8,627,076 modification to previously awarded contract N00030-97-C-0017 to exercise an option to perform repair and recertification of 400 size 10 pendulous integrating gyroscopic accelerometers for the TRIDENT MK6 missile guidance system and long lead material. This modification increases the cumulative value of this contract to $25,791,684. Work will be performed in Clearwater, Fla., and is expected to be completed in March 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $7,195,076 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Program, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
