DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bergen Brunswig Medical Corporation, Orange, Calif., is being awarded a $9,073,000 firm-fixed-price modified-requirements contract for medical and surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Lake Zurich, Ill., and Cincinnati, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 26, 1999. The Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-96-D-7111).

NAVY

Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $22,427,620 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-98-D-8512 to perform FY99 planned incremental availability for USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The planned incremental availability will be a six month effort in which non-propulsion or "topside" maintenance, repairs, and alterations are performed. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed in June 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $14,940,177 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Tactical Defense Systems, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $20,000,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-98-D-5202 to provide for the production of AN/UYQ-70(V) advanced display system equipment to support AEGIS, advanced combat direction, and other associated support services for the PMS400 program office. The associated support services include, but are not limited to, technical studies, field engineering services to support installation, and integrated logistics. Work will be performed in Eagan, Minn. (50%), and Johnstown, Pa. (50%), and is expected to be completed in August 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

  • General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $15,998,515 ceiling-priced basic ordering agreement for 29,244 high pressure turbine blades used on the F-404
  • engine on F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be

completed in December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-G-0002).

American Renovation and Construction Company,* San Diego, Calif., is being awarded an $11,139,987 firm-fixed priced contract for family housing revitalization and all incidental related work at the Cascajo Point housing area at the U.S. Naval Station, Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. The contract consists of eight pre-priced options. Options 3 and 7 in the amount of $6,617,777 are to be awarded with the base bid and Options 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 will be awarded within 120 calendar days, bringing the total cumulative value of the contract to $14,241,656. Work will be performed in Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, and is expected to be completed in December 2000. Contract funds in the amount of $729,200 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 67 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-96-C-6725).

Ho'opono, Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, State of Hawaii, Department of Human Services, Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded a $5,004,480 firm-fixed-price contract for full food service, encompassing complete operation of a dining facility for the Naval Security Group Activity, Schofield Barracks, Kunia Regional Signal Intelligence Operations Center near Waihawa, Hawaii. Work will be performed in Waihawa, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed in September 2004 if all options are exercised. Contract funds in the amount of $863,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 86 proposals solicited and nine offers received. The Regional Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N00604-99-C-0002).
