ARMY

TI/Martin JAVELIN joint venture, (Raytheon TI Systems and Lockheed Martin Corp.), Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $376,576,139 modification to a firm-fixed-price multiyear contract for the purchase of the third year full rate production of the JAVELIN Weapon System. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla. (35%), and Lewisville, Texas (65%), and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 23, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-97-C-0209).

NAVY

Sealift, Inc., Oyster Bay, N.Y., is being awarded a $41,265,255 time charter contract for the charter of MV Sea Fox , a U.S. flag vessel which is a container ship with a limited amount of roll-on/roll-off space and will be used in the prepositioning of Air Force ammunition in Diego Garcia. Work will be performed in waters around Diego Garcia and is expected to be completed in November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 250 proposals solicited and 14 offers received. The Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-99-C-3303).

Moran Towing Corp, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $12,900,000 time charter contract for the 24-month charter of eight tractor tugs. This contract contains an option which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $32,900,000. Work will be performed in waters off Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed in December 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 163 proposals solicited and 10 offers received. The Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-98-C-1015).

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $5,717,787 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for expansion of the capability to upgrade support equipment for the C-17 aircraft. This effort supports the C-17 Flexible Sustainment

Program. Solicitation issue date was July 6, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Nov. 6, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-97-C-0008-P00027).

Westinghouse Electric Corp., Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $5,664,005 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for Operational Linescan System support and services from December 1998 through November 1999. This effort will maintain the Operational Linescan sensors until integrated onto a Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) spacecraft for launch. Expected contract completion date is Dec. 1, 1999. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-95-C-0014-P00061).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded an $11,241,975 face value increase to a fixed-price-incentive-firm contract to provide for interim contractor support from December 1998 through December 1999 for the APG-53(V) fire control radar applicable to the F-15 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is Dec. 31, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Nov. 10, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-97-C-2044-P00005).
