DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Camel Manufacturing, Co.**, Caryville, Tenn., is being awarded a $6,787,744 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for temper tents. Seven proposals were solicited and six were received. Work will be performed in Pioneer, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by June 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-99-D-4004).

NAVY

Hughes Missile Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is receiving a $10,252,729 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-5431 for partial exercise of the cost-plus-award-fee FY 99 options to provide for life-cycle maintenance support for the MK 15 PHALANX Close-In Weapon System and MK 23 Target Acquisition System in the areas of overhauls, conversion/ upgrades, repairs and level of effort tasks. Work will be performed in Louisville, Ky., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 1999. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

DE Technologies, Inc., King of Prussia, Pa., is being awarded a $5,289,065 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for missile warhead research and development at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Div. Work will be performed in King of Prussia, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $100,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via a broad agency announcement. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Div., Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity (N00178-99-D-1005).

AIR FORCE

Northrop Grumman Corp., Linthicum Heights, Md., was awarded on Dec. 31 a $6,559,224 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for repair of various line replaceable units applicable to the AN/APG-68 fire control radar on the F-16 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is 30 days after receipt of repairable end items or funded delivery order,

whichever is later. Solicitation issue date was June 29, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Dec. 10, 1998. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42620-99-D-0028).

Boeing North American, Inc., Long Beach, Calif., was awarded on Dec. 31 a $45,000,000 time-and-material contract to provide for CY 99 engineering services in support of the B-1B aircraft. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is Dec. 31, 1999 (or through Dec. 31, 2004, if all options are exercised). Solicitation issue date was March 9, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Dec. 16, 1998. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-99-C-0001).

Raytheon Systems Co., Fullerton, Calif., was awarded on Dec. 31 a $10,497,053 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for follow-on software and hardware sustainment from January through March 1999, in support of the Peace Shield command and control system. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. Expected contract completion date is March 31, 1999. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-98-C-0075-P0000C).

The University of Dayton Research Institute, Dayton, Ohio, was awarded on Dec. 31 a $6,266,288 cost-reimbursement contract to provide for research and development support for the Advanced High Cycle Fatigue Life Assurances Methodologies program. This effort will attempt to develop methodologies to mitigate the impact of fatigue in aircraft engines. Expected contract completion date is June 30, 2002. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 1, 1997. Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (F49620-99-C-0007).
