AIR FORCE

Marvin Engineering Company, Inc., Inglewood, Calif., is being awarded a $6,552,810 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 506 Guided Missile Launchers applicable to the AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile for use on the F-15, F-16, F-18 and F-22 aircraft. This effort supports Air Force requirements (34%), Navy requirements (24%), and foreign military sales to Bahrain, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Turkey, and Greece (42%). There were two firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is July 31, 2000. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 5, 1999. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-99-C-0084).

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded an $18,951,817 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 2,110 retrofit kits to update the F100PW229 engine applicable to the F-15 and F-16 aircraft. Approximately 45% of this effort supports foreign military sales to Korea. Expected contract completion date is February 2002. Solicitation issue date was July 6, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Dec. 21, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-94-D-2001-0085).

NAVY

FAAC Inc., Ann Arbor, Mich., is being awarded a $11,860,533 cost-plus-fixed-fee service contract for technical support for design, development, manufacture and installation of operator training simulators which are used for training Marine Corps personnel how to drive High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs) medium tactical vehicles (humvees). This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $26,667,546. Work will be performed in Ann Arbor, Mich., and is expected to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the internet and three offers were received. Manufacturing Technology, Inc., Fort Walton Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $9,598,690 cost-plus-fixed-fee service contract to provide services for the design, development, test and evaluation, manufacturing, obsolescence management and documentation of airborne and ground based electronic systems/hardware for the Indian Head Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center. This procurement will support the system/hardware needs of the Navy, Air Force, Army, Air National Guard, Marine Corps, and other DoD customers as required. Work will be performed in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and is expected to be completed by February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the internet and one offer was received. The Indian Head Division., Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity (N00174-99-D-0009).

Alliant Techsystems, Inc., Magna, Utah, is being awarded a $6,363,008 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide support for the Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty for the fleet ballistic missile program. The contract will provide program management, maintenance for government facilities, training, and supplies to support the On-Site Inspection Agency. Work will be performed in Magna, Utah, and is expected to be completed by May 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $61,672 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-99-C-0035).

ARMY

Caterpillar Inc., Defense and Federal Products, Mossville, Ill., is being awarded an $8,671,176 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 23 Deployable Universal Combat Earthmovers (add-on quantity). Work will be performed in Minneapolis, Minn. (80%), and Peoria, Ill. (20%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 20 bids solicited on Jan. 5, 1995, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-95-C-X056).

Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., is being awarded a $42,472,502 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to exercise the option for 140 palletized load system vehicles, 96 M1075 trucks, and 96 M1076 trailers. Work will be performed in Oshkosh**, Wis., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 15, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-96-C-X159).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

John C. Grimberg Co. Inc., Rockville, Md., was awarded on Feb. 1, 1999, a $6,100,000 firm-fixed-price contract for modernization of the 6th Floor of the U.S. General Accounting Offices. Work consists of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, communications and security renovation for the modernization of administrative office space.

Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 20, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 52 bids solicited on Sept. 22, 1998, and 16 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACW31-99-C-0003).
