ARMY

Raytheon Systems Co., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded $9,237,211 as part of a not-to-exceed $31,235,690 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide contractor personnel knowledgeable of the PATRIOT missile assembly, disassembly and test to support all PATRIOT Missile Support Center operations. The project includes providing technical assistance for the PATRIOT Missile Test Facility and supports operations for PATRIOT Missile Facilities located at the Red River Army Depot, Texas; Germany and the Netherlands. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 4, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-C-0152).

NAVY

SRC Construction, Inc., Meriden, Conn., is being awarded task order 2 for $6,266,235 under a multiple awardee fixed-price, indefinite-quantity task order concept contract for whole-house site improvements at Naval Submarine base, New London. The basic contract was competitively negotiated with 24 offers solicited and eight proposals received, with award made to four contractors on Aug. 11, 1998. These four contractors compete for each task order under the terms and conditions of the existing multiple awardee contract. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $30,000,000, which includes the base period and two option years. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by August 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Northern Division, Lester, Pa., is the contracting activity (N62472-98-D-0819).

Northrop Grumman Norden Systems, Inc., Melville, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,773,328 firm-fixed-price contract for two AN/WLY-1 low rate initial production systems, technical data, and other related items. These systems are defense warfare systems that will replace AN/WLR-9/12/17 series on SSN 688, SSN 21, and NSSN class submarines. Work will be performed in Melville, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by February 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-6105).
