DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Multi-Unit Chain Distribution Services, Inc.*, Duluth, Ga., is being awarded a $7,150,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for full line food distribution. One hundred thirteen proposals were solicited and four were received. Work is expected to be completed by Feb. 4, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-99-D-2915/2916).

AIR FORCE

General Electric Engine Services Division, McAllen, Texas, is being awarded a $10,864,512 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for repair of 282,452 (best estimated quantity) Low Pressure Turbine Blades applicable to the TF39 engine on the C-5 aircraft. There were two firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is February 2002. Solicitation issue date was May 29, 1998. Negotiation completion date was July 3, 1998. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-99-D-0040).

Marconi Flight Systems, Mojave, Calif., is being awarded a $36,165,119 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for installation of Pacer CRAG (Compass, Radar and Global Positioning System) kits and future avionics block upgrades on 220 (estimated quantity) C/KC-135 aircraft. There were eight firms solicited and three proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Dec. 31, 2003. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 14, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Jan. 22, 1999. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-99-D-0102).

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems, Gaithersburg, Md., is being awarded a $9,341,999 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for transition of new command and control hardware and software into the Operational Control Segment and Operational Support Environments supporting the Global Positioning Satellite network. Expected contract completion date is July 25, 2000. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04606-95-D-0239).

ARMY

Olin Corp., Winchester Division, Independence, Mo., was awarded on Feb. 4, 1999, a $6,561,234 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for the operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated facility and production of small caliber ammunition, e.g., 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, 20 mm, and .50 caliber, to support troops in the field. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Of the total contract funds $98,440 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 5, 1999. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-91-Z-0009).

Camber Corp.*, Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-award-fee and cost contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a not-to-exceed cumulative total of $50,000,000. The contract is for the purchase of approximately 70 Portal Shield Biological Detector Systems, support services, and spare parts, with an approximate total quantity of 196. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va. (67%); Huntsville, Ala. (26%); and Dalgren, Va. (7%), and is expected to be completed by Feb. 4, 2003. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 30, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, Frederick, Md. (DAMD17-99-D-0003).

C O R R E C T I O N

The contract announced Feb. 3, 1999, for Raytheon Systems Co., listed an incorrect contract number. The number should have been DAAH01-99-C-0066.
