DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Equa Industries Inc., Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, is being awarded an estimated maximum $6,982,799 indefinite-quantity contract for flyers' coveralls. Ninety-four proposals were solicited and eight were received. Work is expected to be completed by June 8, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-99-D-4006).

Carter Industries Inc.*, Brooklyn, N.Y., is being awarded an estimated maximum $10,301,200 indefinite-quantity contract for flyers' coveralls. Ninety-four proposals were solicited and eight were received. Work will be performed in Olive Hill, Ky., and is expected to be completed by June 8, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-99-D-4007).

ARMY

General Electric Co., Lynn, Mass., was awarded on Feb. 5, 1999, a delivery order amount of $19,373,110 as part of a firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 12 701C engines installed (complete) and 20 401C engines installed (complete) for the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 1, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 20, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAJ09-97-D-0196).

Zegnego Co. Inc., Waukesha, Wis., is being awarded a $9,708,681 firm-fixed-price construction contract to upgrade Runway 9/27 and the Taxiway at Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center. Work will be performed at Camp Douglas, Wis., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 65 bids solicited on Dec. 4, 1998, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the National Guard Bureau, Camp Douglas, Wis. (DAHA47-99-C-0001).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $5,543,398 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for development of a new customer service database in support of the Department of Defense Global Transportation Network. Expected contract completion date is May 19, 2000. Air Mobility Command Contracting Flight, Scott AFB, Ill., is the contracting activity (F19628-95-C-0029-P00119).

Systems and Electronics Inc., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $59,839,040 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 38 60K (Tunner) Loaders. The Loader is a mobile vehicle that is used to load and unload pallets from transport aircraft. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is Feb. 28, 2001. Negotiation completion date was Feb. 3, 1999. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-99-D-0078-0001).

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., was awarded on Feb. 5, 1999, a $14,637,600 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 12,000 Second Stage Vanes applicable to the F100PW220 engine on the F-16 aircraft. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. The contract calls for the delivery of 800 per month beginning Aug. 31, 1999, and continue at the rate of 800 per month thereafter until complete. Solicitation issue date was Nov. 23, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Dec. 22, 1998. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F34601-98-G-0005-SAJ5).

NAVY

Northrop Grumman Norden Systems, Inc., Melville, N.Y., is being awarded a $7,008,974 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-94-C-5441 to exercise options for two sets of below deck AN/SPQ-9B ordnance alteration kit equipment, which are a part of the AN/SPQ-9B radar program's low rate initial production quantities. The AN/SPQ-9B is a search radar whose function is to detect and track very low-altitude, small-radar-cross-section, high-speed targets. Work will be performed in Melville, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
