NAVY

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a ceiling priced $80,000,000 undefinitized-fixed-price incentive-fee contract for the mechanization and automation of production processes and cost savings design improvements for the F/A-18E/F aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (60%), and Los Angeles, Calif. (40%), and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-99-C-1226).

Metric Construction Company, Incorporated, Thousand Oaks, Calif., is being awarded a $6,848,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the renovation the of fourth floor warehouse space to administrative space in Building 167 at Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This contract contains an option, which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative total of the entire contract to $6,860,690. Work will be performed at Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by May 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 42 proposals solicited and 12 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-94-C-1318).

AIR FORCE

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded an $8,940,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for engineering services through September 1999 for the Air Launched Cruise Missile and the Conventional Air Launched Cruise Missile. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is September 1999. Solicitation issue date was July 10, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Dec. 1, 1998. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-98-C-0103-P00021).

ARMY

Freightliner Corp., Portland, Ore., is being awarded a $36,795,517 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 291 truck tractors (M915A3). Work will be performed in Portland, Ore., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 12, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-96-C-X076).

Primex Technologies Inc., St. Petersburg, Fla., is being awarded $100,610,754 as part of a $371,575,758 firm-fixed-price multi-year contract for 120 mm, M831A1 TP-T 120 mm cartridge and the M865 TPCSDS-T 120 mm cartridge, for the countries of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The M831A1 is the high explosive training round and the M865 is the kinetic energy training round, with both rounds having inert projectiles used for live fire training for M1A1/M1A2 tanks. Work will be performed at the Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Sept. 1, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-99-C-0021).

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Hopkins, Minn., is being awarded $108,206,178 as part of a $399,705,684 firm-fixed-price multi-year contract for 120 mm, M831A1 TP-T 120 mm cartridge and the M865 TPCSDS-T 120 mm cartridge, for the countries of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The M831A1 is the high explosive training round and the M865 is the kinetic energy training round, with both rounds having inert projectiles used for live fire training for M1A1/M1A2 tanks. There also will be an award of the services of container handling and technical data package maintenance for 120 mm tank training ammunition. Work will be performed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Sept. 1, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-99-C-0020).

Harris Corp., Government Communications Systems Division, Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $16,484,134 modification to a firm-fixed-price/time and materials contract in support of the AN/GSC-52 Satellite Terminal Modernization Program. This is an option to procure kits utilized in the modernization process including spares, various data items, warranties, and training. Work will be performed in Palm Bay, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 12, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on Feb. 23, 1998, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-98-C-A515).
