DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Wellco Enterprises*, Waynesville, N.C., was awarded on March 15, 1999, a $9,701,118 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for combat boots, hot weather boots, and tan boots. Thirty proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico, and is expected to be completed by April 29, 2000. Belleville Shoe Mfg. Co.**, Belleville, Ill., was awarded on March 15, 1999, a $13,172,459 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for combat boots, hot weather boots, and tan boots. Thirty proposals were solicited and five were received. Work is expected to be completed by April 29, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. McRae Industries, Inc., Mt. Gilead, N.C., was awarded on March 15, 1999, a $7,778,895 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for combat boots, hot weather boots, and tan boots. Thirty proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in Dresden, Tenn.; and Waverly, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by April 29, 2000. Altama Delta Corporation**, Rosewell, Ga., was awarded on March 15, 1999, a $7,465,577 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for combat boots, hot weather boots, and tan boots. Thirty proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in Salinas, Puerto Rico, and Endicott, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by April 29, 2000. NAVY

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $20,590,479 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-98-C-0136 to exercise an option to provide special progressive aircraft rework and other depot level maintenance for two VH-3D and two VH-60N executive mission helicopters, components repairs, technical publications, pilot and maintenance training, security requirements, logistics, and engineering support. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by August 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $20,372,235 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Science Applications International Corp., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $7,496,023 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, time and materials delivery order contract for professional engineering and technical services in support of flight test and manned flight simulator air vehicle programs at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va. (50%), and Patuxent River, Md. (50%), and is expected to be completed by March 2000. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-99-D-1433).

ARMY

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, Md., was awarded on March 2, 1999, a $1,081,043 increment as part of a $5,141,047 cost-plus-fixed-fee term contract for research and development for a proposal entitled "Adaptive Information Control Techniques for the Agile Information Control Environment." Work will be performed in Laurel, Md. (60%); Columbia, Mo. (20%); and W. Lafayette, Ind. (20%), and is expected to be completed by March 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on May 8, 1998, and 27 bids were received. The U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command, Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., is the contracting activity (DABT63-99-C-0010).

GTE Government Systems Corp., Communications Systems Division, Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a $14,285,186 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to exercise options for ten Single Shelter Switch Shelters (AN/TTC-56(V) with peripheral equipment, for the Project Manager, Warfighter Information Network-Terrestrial (WIN-T). Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass. (53.5%); and Laguna, N.M. (46.5%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2000. Of the total contract funds, $220,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 10, 1998. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-97-C-F759).

AIR FORCE

Parsons Engineering Science, Sacramento, Calif., is being awarded a $49,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for architect-engineer environmental services through March 15, 2004, in support of McClellan AFB, Calif. There were three firms solicited and three proposals received. Solicitation issue date was Sept. 4, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Feb. 10, 1999. Sacramento Air Logistics center, McClellan AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04699-99-D-0012).

TRW, Inc., Redondo Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $11,472,849 face value increase to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for program management, system effectiveness planning, maintenance, and high-and low-power testing of the Alpha Hydrogen Fluoride Laser program in support of the Space Based Laser project. Expected contract completion date is Oct. 1, 1999. Solicitation issue date was Feb. 11, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Feb. 20, 1999. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (SDIO84-92-C-0002-P00054).
