Olin Corp., Winchester Division, Independence, Mo., is being awarded a $9,898,116 modification to contract DAAA09-91-Z-0009 for the operation and maintenance of a government-owned/contractor-operated facility and production 5.56 mm ammunition. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 5, 1999. Hydraulics International, Inc., Chatsworth, Calif., is being awarded an $8,287,475 firm-fixed-price contract to procure a 20 mm linkless ammunition loading system consisting of ammunition loaders and ammunition replenishers. This effort will satisfy the requirements for a non-powered, portable loader for flight line 20 mm ammunition replenishment of F-14 and F-18 installed M61A1 gun systems and will support M61A1/A2 gun systems on F-15, F-16, and F-22 aircraft. Work will be performed in Chatsworth, Calif., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 37 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-99-C-0167).
