NAVY

Todd Pacific Shipyards Corp., Seattle Division, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $9,379,430 cost-plus-fixed-fee option for performance of Phased Incremental Availability 2 which entails modification and repair of shipboard equipment, hull and ship's systems, as well as non-skid replacement and installation of a physical fitness facility on USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Work will be performed in Bremerton, Wash., and is expected to be completed by October 1999. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Puget Sound, Everett, Wash., is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-8503).

GeneSoft, Inc.,* South San Francisco, Calif., is being awarded a grant in the amount of $7,802,800 to perform research into regulation of pathogen-gene expression by DNA-binding polyamides. Work will be performed in South San Francisco, Calif., and is expected to be completed by May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 66 proposals solicited and 11 offers received. The Space & Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston, S.C., is the grant awarding activity (N65236-99-1-5427).

Correction: The contract awarded to Computer Science Corp., Moorestown, N.J., on Wednesday, May 5th, in the amount of $3,818,488, should have read that work will be performed in Dahlgren, Va. (90%); Moorestown, N.J. (5%); Bath, Maine (2.5%), and Pascagoula, Miss. (2.5%). The contract also should not have stated that it was being awarded a "ceiling amount."

AIR FORCE

AlliedSignal Inc., Redmond, Wash., is being awarded a $9,700,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for engineering services to support installation of Traffic Collision and Avoidance System (TCAS) and Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS) equipment into various aircraft. Further funds will be obligated as individual deliver orders are issued. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is 2005. Solicitation issue date was March 10, 1999. Negotiation completion date was April 12, 1999. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-99-D-0013-DO0001).

ARMY

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Kiewit Western Co., Elgin, Ill., is being awarded a $1,100,000 increment as part of an $8,317,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the Fort Wayne, Indiana, West Flood Control Project. Work will be performed in Fort Wayne, Ind., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 47 bids solicited on Feb. 26, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit, Mich., is the contracting activity (DACW35-99-C-0016).
