DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

IMPAC Medical Systems, Inc., Mountain View, Calif., is being awarded a $30,000,000 indefinite-quantity contract for radiation oncology systems and subsystems. Twenty proposals were solicited, and fifteen were received. Work is expected to be completed by May 28, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-98-D-8507).

NAVY

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $196,709,927 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for consolidated design agent, planning yard and engineering and technical support services for nuclear submarines. A total of $4,789,513 is being obligated at the time of award. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (60%); Bangor, Wash. (13%); Kings Bay, Ga. (11%); Quonset, R.I. (8.5%); Arlington, Va. (5%); and Newport, R.I. (2.5%), and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $4,789,513 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-2900).

Raytheon Co., Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded a $7,825,244 cost-plus-fixed-fee, level-of-effort option exercise for 88,018 man-hours of technical production support engineering services for the SPY-1D, SPY-1D(V), and MK 99 transmitters, which are major subsystems of the Aegis weapon system. Work will be performed in Sudbury, Mass. (90%), and Andover, Mass. (10%), and is expected to be completed by June 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-5103).

Abitis Pharmaceuticals, LLC, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $5,626,767 cost reimbursement contract to perform research to determine which amino acid sequencers and conformations are most effective in promoting survival and preventing death and behavioral disturbance in animal models of pathogen exposure. A total of $2,158,003 is being obligated at

the time of the award. Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas, and is expected to be completed by May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N65236-99-C-5830).

ARMY

Oracle Corp., Reston, Va., was awarded on May 27, 1999, a $9,757,710 fixed-price/delivery order contract for ten network licenses for Oracle Products: 22,800 Oracle Lite; 7,340 Oracle 8 Personal Edition; Oracle 8 - Enterprise Edition and Advanced Networking Option as well as onsite technical support and associated maintenance for 14 months in support of the Global Combat Support System (GCSS) - Army. Work will be performed at Ft. Lee, Va., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 25, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 17, 1999. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command Acquisition Center, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (DAAB15-99-A-1002).

Lockheed Martin Vought Systems, Grand Prairie, Texas, was awarded on May 27, 1999, a $56,625,258 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAH01-96-C-0093, to purchase 18 M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System Launchers for the country of Greece. Work will be performed in Camden, Ark. (71%); Dallas, Texas (24.8%); and Lufkin, Texas (4.2%), and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 18, 1996. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Nordic Construction Ltd., Waipahu, Hawaii, is being awarded a $35,529,653 firm-fixed-price contract, with a cumulative total of $39,080,175 if all options are exercised. The contractor will construct a 4-road, approximately 400 meters of existing utilities underground, traffic lights and controls; construction of lighted tennis courts and parking; whole barracks renewal which consists of construction of two barracks, two soldier community buildings, three medium and one large company operations facilities, utility support, site work, and landscaping. Work will be performed at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by July 19, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 216 bids solicited on March 15, 1999, and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ft. Shafter, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (DACA83-99-C-0012).

McMaster Construction Inc., Oklahoma City, Okla., is being awarded a $13,069,042 firm-fixed-price contract with a cumulative total of $13,986,886 if all options are exercised for construction of two tactical equipment shops and adjacent sitework. The project includes options for a tank trail, asphalt POV paving, and deployment equipment storage buildings. Work will be performed at Ft. Sill, Okla., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 1, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 150 bids solicited on April 12, 1999, and ten bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Okla., is the contracting activity (DACA56-99-C-0036).

TRW Inc., Reston, Va., is being awarded a $2,455,756 increment as part of a $10,369,088 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. To engineer and build a performance assessment and integration to environment evolve the Agile Information Controlled Environment (AICE) technology components. This approach requires hands-on integration and performance assessment. Work will be performed in Reston, Va., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 14, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an broad agency announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on May 8, 1998, and 27 bids were received. The U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command, Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., is the contracting activity (DABT63-99-C-0021).
