United Defense, Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $16,610,679 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAE07-96-C-X069, for 18 Multiple Launched Rocket System M993 Carriers. Work will be performed in York, Pa. (90%), and Aiken, S.C. (10%), and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 24, 1997. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. is the contracting activity.
Valenzuela Engineering Inc., Santa Maria, Calif., is being awarded a $5,646,000 firm-fixed-price construction contract for an addition/completion of alterations to Building 1329. Work will be performed at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 1, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 59 bids solicited on Feb. 4, 1999, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACA05-99-C-0035).
