Fletcher Pacific Construction Co., LTD, Barrigada, Guam, is being awarded a $6,146,950 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of two missile silo shafts. One missile silo shaft will be priced as an option item. The contractor shall install government-furnished launch equipment including the silo, silo interface vault, silo/silo interface vault environmental control system, silo headworks, power cable and conduit, communications conduit and chilled water piping from Building 5065 to the silo interface vault. Modification to Building 5098 includes an extension to the existing building, an extension of the concrete retaining wall, rerouting of existing utilities, paving and grading; construction of a new camera tower and connection to existing electrical utilities, and installation of a communications conduit between Building 5065 and Building 5050. Work will be performed at the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, and is expected to be completed by April 17, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 183 bids solicited on March 24, 1999, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ft. Shafter, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (DACA83-99-C-0014).


C.H. Guernsey and Company, Oklahoma City, Okla., and CH2M Hill, Englewood, Colo., are being awarded a $12,500,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for architect engineering services through June 13, 2000, in support of utility privatization and other Air Force Civil Engineering Support Agency programs. There were 20 firms solicited and four proposals received. Expected contract completion date is June 13, 2000. Solicitation issue date was Nov. 20, 1998. Negotiation completion date was June 3, 1999. The 325th Contracting Squadron, Tyndall AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08637-99-D6001, C.H. Guernsey; F08637-99-D6004, CH2M Hill).
