ARMY

Swank Enterprises, Valier, Mont., is being awarded a $5,463,602 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a three-story dormitory consisting of living quarters, a lounge, storage space, and laundry facilities. Demolition of a two-story dormitory constructed in 1956 is also part of the project and includes asbestos abatement. Work will be performed at Malstrom Air Force Base, Mont., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 136 bids solicited on May 28, 1999, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash., is the contracting activity (DACA67-99-C-0036).

Raytheon Co., Andover, Mass., is being awarded a $9,775,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for development of the HAWK Missile System Advanced Infrared Tracking Adjunct System (AIRTAS). Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass. (44%); Tewksbury, Mass. (22%); Pelham, N.H. (7%); and Rolling Meadows, Ill. (27%), and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 30, 1998. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-99-C-0123).
