ARMY

Todd Construction Co. Inc.*, Oklahoma City, Okla., was awarded $140,000 on Aug. 11, 1999, as part of a $7,000,000 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract with a cumulative total of $21,000,000, if all options are exercised. This is an indefinite quantity contract with time-and-materials capabilities for a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and minor construction tasks in support of the Directorate of Public Housing at Ft. Bragg. Work will be performed at Ft. Bragg, N.C., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 11, 2002. Of the total contract funds, $140,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 107 bids solicited on May 11, 1999, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACA21-99-D-0017).

Morrison Knudsen Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, was awarded on Aug. 11, 1999, a $7,223,210 modification to cost-plus-fixed-fee contract DTRA01-99-C-0014, for construction of storage facilities in the Ukraine. Work will be performed in Mikhailyenki, Ukraine (80%); Pavlograd, Ukraine (15%), and Cleveland, Ohio (5%), and is expected to be completed by Aug. 5, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 28, 1999. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Dulles, Va., is the contracting activity (DTRA01-99-C-0014).

K. L. House Construction Co. Inc.*, Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded a $5,863,000 firm-fixed-price contract to design/build a new nuclear weapons integration facility; a fully sprinklered office building with many computer and security requirements. Work will be performed at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 14, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 99 bids solicited on June 2, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque, N.M., is the contracting activity (DACA47-99-C-0022).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

IT Corp., Monroeville, Pa., was awarded on Aug. 11, 1999, a $10,562,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a landfill cover system over an area of approximately 210 acres of the central impoundment area. The work includes installation of cushion material, a petroleum based containment geomembrane, drainage layer, underdrain system, cover material and growth media, and associated work. Sitework includes construction of access roads and maintaining erosion and sediment control measures to protect the project area. Work will be performed at the Bunker Hill Superfund Site, Kellogg, Idaho, and is expected to be completed by July 10, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 211 bids solicited on March 3, 1999, and ten bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash., is the contracting activity (DACW67-99-C-0038).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Statoil Energy Services, Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $6,213,446 firm-fixed price fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for direct supply natural gas. Four hundred eighty-one proposals were solicited and forty-six were received. Work will be performed in Fort Lee, Va.; Quantico, Va.; Portsmouth, Va.; Albany, Ga.; Columbus, Ohio; Watervliet, N.Y.; Fort Drum, N.Y; and Schenectady, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-99-D-7502).

AIR FORCE

Northrop Grumman Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $244,393,253 modification to a fixed-price-incentive contract, F19628-97-C-0001-P00026, to definitize acquisition of two Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) aircraft. Expected contract completion date is May 31, 2002. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity.
