ARMY

Centennial Contractors Enterprises Inc., Vienna, Va., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a base year total of $5,000,000 and a cumulative total of $25,000,000 if all options are exercised. The contractor will perform construction/renovation/alterations and site work at Ft. Lee, Va. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, 2000. There were 55 bids solicited on May 25, 1999, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (DACA65-99-D-0064).

Raytheon Systems Co., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded $9,910,500 as part of a not-to-exceed $19,821,000 firm-fixed-price letter contract for the PATRIOT Range Support System (PRSS) for Saudi Arabia. The PRSS is a mobile, self powered test and communications system used to conduct and control missile test firings, coordinate range activities, and provide communications to support pre-mission, mission and post-mission. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass. (70%); White Sands, N.M. (20%); and Saudi Arabia (10%), and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 14, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-99-C-0164).

Day & Zimmermann Hawthorne Corp., Philadelphia, Pa., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a base year total of $171,324,309 and a cumulative total of $324,091,891 (one five-year base period and one five-year option period). The contractor will manage the Hawthorne Army Depot, perform supply depot operations, and demilitarization and renovation of conventional ammunition. Work will be performed at Hawthorne Army Depot, Nev., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2009. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order. There were four bids solicited on Feb. 11, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-D-0022).

AIR FORCE

Rhodes Corp., North Billerica, Mass., is being awarded a $7,990,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for design and execution of renovation of Building 1607, a 90,000 square

foot office building, at Hanscom AFB, Mass. Expected contract completion date is April 1, 2001. Solicitation issue date was May 20, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 2, 1999. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19650-99-C-0007).

Hensel Phelps Construction Company, Irvine, Calif., is being awarded an $18,848,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for design and construction of a commissary/exchange retail mall at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, Calif. There were 142 firms solicited and five proposals received. Expected contract completion date is September 2000. Solicitation issue date was Feb. 12, 1999. Negotiation completion date was July 30, 1999. Air Education and Training Command Contracting Squadron, Lackland AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41689-99-C-0413).

MSM Security Services, Greenbelt, Md., and Omniplex World Services, McLean, Va., are being awarded an $18,000,000 time-and-materials contract to provide for advisory and assistance services in support of the Defense Security Service (DSS) through April 2000. The contractors will perform security background investigations of government and contractor personnel and will provide appropriate reports to DSS. Expected contract completion date is April 2000. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 25, 1999. The 11th Contracting Squadron, Bolling AFB, Washington DC, is the contracting activity (F49642-99-D5001, MSM Security; F49642-99-D5002, Omniplex).

NAVY

CMS Defense Systems, Titusville, Fla., is being awarded a $10,010,832 modification to previously awarded contract N00178-99-C-1004 for refurbishment of the shoulder-launched multipurpose assault weapon (SMAW) high explosive dual-purpose encased all-up round (HEDP EAR) for the U.S. Marine Corps. The award of this modification brings the cumulative value of this contract to $17,010,761. Work will be performed in Titusville, Fla. (60%), and Wiggins, Miss. (40%), and is expected to be completed by October 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity.

J. F. Taylor, Inc., Lexington Park, Md., is being awarded a $5,661,101 cost-plus-fixed-fee service contract to provide engineering and technical services to support electronic systems, simulation cockpits, portable simulation cockpits, and aircrew trainer/simulators for the U.S. Navy and other Department of Defense activities. This contract contains four options, which if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $29,842,774. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md., and is expected to be completed by August 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the internet and two offers were received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity (N00174-99-D-0020).
