ARMY

Electro Design Manufacturing Inc.*, Decatur, Ala., is being awarded a $24,150,836 firm-fixed-price contract for TOW2 (tube-launched optically-tracked wire-guided) Missile Systems and auxiliary equipment. Work will be performed in Decatur, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were seven bids solicited on July 31, 1998, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-00-C-0007).

AIR FORCE

Transact International, Inc., Darien, Conn., is being awarded a $5,225,303 firm-fixed-price contract, F33600-99-C-0081, to provide for an Air Cargo Handling System for Kadena AB, Japan. Nineteen firms registered on the website for this project; there were five proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Aug. 31, 2001. Solicitation issue date was June 28, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 17, 1999. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

NAVY

Pennsylvania State University, Applied Research Laboratory, State College, Pa., is being awarded a $66,287,013 modification to previously awarded contract N00039-97-D-0042 to provide research, development, engineering, test and evaluation support for Navy specific and other government agency programs. Specific technical areas critical to the Navy include guidance, navigation and control of undersea systems, advanced thermal propulsion concepts, advanced propulsors, material and manufacturing technologies, and atmospheric and undersea communications. Work will be performed in State College, Pa., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

AmerInd Inc., Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $5,361,835 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-99-C-2902 to exercise options for training and trainer support for operational submarine shore-based trainers and submarine program/training products support for shore-based command and control system trainers. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va. (80%), and Kings Bay, Ga. (20%), and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds in the amount of $3,662,060 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
