Work will be performed in Jacksonville, Fla. (50%); and North Island, Calif. (50%), and is expected to be completed by November 2001. The scope of work includes seismic upgrades; reroofing; air conditioning; hot water generator; fire sprinkler mains/systems; replacement of doors, windows, ceilings, floor and wall, lighting; removal and disposal of lead paint and asbestos containing floor tiles; transformer upgrades; new asphalt concrete basketball court and roads; new corridor railings; hot water boilers and pipe insulation; landscaping with irrigation; exterior insulation finish system; walkway, parking lot and volleyball court lighting; and construction of a new recreation building. Work will be performed in Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with 42 proposals solicited and six offers received. Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Vought Systems, Grand Prairie, Texas, was awarded on Nov. 3, 1999, a $7,750,000 modification to cost-plus-incentive-fee contract DAAH01-98-C-0156, as additional funding for the Line-of-Sight Anti-Tank (LOSAT) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration Program (ACTD) for further development of mature technology of the LOSAT weapons systems. Schwab Co.*, Winona, Minn., was awarded on Nov. 2, 1999, a $50,000 increment as part of a $6,753,087 firm-fixed-price contract for major maintenance at Lock and Dam 7, Stage 2, on the Mississippi River. The project consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete the rehabilitation of Lock and Dam 7. Work involves construction of a new central control building, replacing lock electrical systems and upgrading or replacing other numerous small features of the lock facility. Site work includes grading roadways and parking areas, curb and gutter, sidewalks, landscaping, storm sewers, waterwell, and irrigation system. Lock features include concrete repairs, handrail replacement, compressed air bubbler system, flagpoles, and an auxiliary water system. Work will be performed in LaCrescent, Minn., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 80 bids solicited on Sept. 2, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul, Minn., is the contracting activity (DACW37-00-C-0001).
