AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Berkeley, Mo., is being awarded a $10,141,442 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract, F08626-94-C-0003-P00155, to provide for 861 Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) kits. JDAM is a strap-on kit with Inertial Navigation System/Global Positioning System capability that will provide an improved aerial delivery capability for existing 1000 and 2000 pound bombs. Expected contract completion date is February 2001. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 8, 1999. Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, is being awarded a $7,211,770 firm-fixed-price contract for 49,661 tracks (T-107) for the M88 Recovery Vehicle. Work will be performed in St. Marys, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were five bids solicited on April 23, 1998, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-98-D-T041).

NAVY

Global InfoTek, Inc., Vienna, Va., is being awarded an $18,133,540 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract with a cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing arrangement for research of advanced technologies for human and information systems interactions supporting Defense Advanced Research Project Agency. The contract will provide prototype concepts and technologies in three key areas: Battlespace Knowledge Pipeline Management; Profound Knowledge through Dynamic Visualization; and Enabling Technology for Trans-Physical Teams, using next generation collaboration techniques. There is a minimum guarantee of $850,000. Work will be performed in Vienna, Va., and is expected to be completed by November 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through the Commerce Business Daily under a Broad

Agency Announcement. To date 70 white papers have been received and 23 selected for award. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-00-D-8501).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $12,397,690 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-97-C-0147 to provide integrated logistics support sustaining services for Navy E-2C aircraft. Work will be performed in Bethpage, N.Y. (92%); Herndon, Va. (6.5%); and San Diego, Calif. (1.5%), and is expected to be completed by December 2000. Contract funds in the amount of $10,000,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $9,957,544 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract for naval architecture, marine engineering, system and subsystem definition, submarine design and arrangements, fabrication of specialized hardware items of various descriptions, technology impact/cost assessments and other technical support. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by November 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00167-00-D-0006).

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $7,241,742 priced basic ordering agreement order for 17,646 high pressure turbine blades used on the F-404 engine on F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-G-0002).
