ARMY

Royal Ordnance North America Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded an $18,641,000 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAA09-98-E-0006, for the maintenance of inactive industrial facilities. This requires the contractor to perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for laid-away facilities, special test equipment and special tooling. This applies to all equipment and facilities that will be required to support replenishment. Work will be performed at Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 1, 1999. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Systems Co., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded $7,940,822 (base year total) as part of a $19,995,230 (total if all options are exercised) cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for PATRIOT New Equipment Training for the PATRIOT Missile. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 31, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-00-C-0006).

NAVY

Northrop Grumman Corporation, Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $138,000,000 letter contract for upgrade kits, integrated logistics support and sustaining services for the Egyptian E-2C aircraft under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Bethpage, N.Y. (97%); St. Augustine, Fla. (1%); Melbourne, Fla. (1%); and Rolling Meadows, Ill. (1%), and is expected to be completed by October 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity (N00019-99-C-1685).

Raytheon Systems Company, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $487,616,294 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, F19628-99-D-0027-D.O.0001, to provide for up to 3,218 estimated maximum) Multi-Mode Receiver systems, up to 2,833 (estimated maximum) Multi-Mode Receiver upgrade kits, and associated support and engineering services. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued for equipment and services through the end of FY2008. Expected contract completion date is November 2008. Solicitation issue date is July 13, 1999. Negotiation completion date is Oct. 25, 1999. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity.

Rockwell Collins Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $505,676,496 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, F19628-99-D-0024-D.O.0001, to provide for up to 3,218 (estimated maximum) Multi-Mode Receiver systems, up to 950 (estimated maximum) High Frequency Data Radio Systems, up to 950 (estimated maximum) High Frequency Data Radio upgrade kits, and associated support and engineering services in support of the Global Air Traffic Management program. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued for equipment and services through the end of FY2008. Expected contract completion date is November 2008. Litton Systems, Inc., San Carlos, Calif., is being awarded a $20,952,239 requirements contract, F04606-00-D-0008, to provide for repair of 240 (best estimated quantity) klystron tubes applicable to the radar on the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. The klystron tube controls the frequency at which the radar operates. There were two firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Nov. 9, 2004. Solicitation issue date was May 6, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 20, 1999. Sacramento Air Logistics Center, McClellan AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity.
