ARMY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Missile & Fire Control Dallas, Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded a $39,000,000 modification to cost-plus-incentive-fee contract DAAH01-98-C-0062, for long lead time items for PATRIOT advanced capability, 3 low rate initial production. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala. (56%); Grand Prairie, Texas (34%); Aurora, Ohio (3%); Germany (3%), and the Netherlands (4%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 2, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 15, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

The Dewey Electronics Corp.*, Oakland, N.J., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $6,271,821, as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAK01-96-D-0072, for 1,102 alternating current Military Tactical Generator sets and 110 direct current Military Tactical Generator sets. These generators are lightweight, manportable, reliable, and ruggedized for use in the most demanding military applications and environmental conditions. Work will be performed in Oakland, N.J., and is expected to be completed by Feb 28, 2001. There were 10 bids solicited on March 22, 1996, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Troop Command, St. Louis, Mo., is the contracting activity.

Aerojet & Atlantic Research Corp., Sacramento, Calif., is being awarded a $9,778,896 firm-fixed-price contract for the purchase of 236 units of HAWK Rocket Motors, for the countries of Korea and Taiwan. Work will be performed in Sacramento, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 6, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-00-D-0002).

DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

MCI International Incorporated, 8200 Greensboro Drive, McLean, VA, 22102, is being awarded a firm-fixed price contract for a total life cycle cost of $6,463,052 for an estimated service life of 108 months. This price includes a priced option to add a circuit during this time period. This contract award is for a 2.048 MB circuit from Andrews AFB, Maryland to Lajes

Field, Portugal, in support of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) IDNX backbone network expansion. This procurement was conducted under full and open competition. The solicitation was published on the Internet (DISA Acquisition Bulletin Board), with four offers received. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, cott AFB, IL, is the contracting activity (DCA200-96-H-0044).

AIR FORCE

Boeing North American, Long Beach, Calif., was awarded on Dec. 17, 1999, a $10,649,035 option to a fixed-price-incentive-firm-target contract, F33657-97-C-2004-P00012, to provide for 36 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM)/1760 Launcher Conversion Kits in support of the Conventional Mission Upgrade program for the B-1B aircraft. These kits will allow the JDAM to be launched from the B-1B aircraft. Expected contract completion date is March 2002. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $7,468,082 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 9,149 Third Stage Ring Segments applicable to the F100PW220 engine on the F-16 aircraft. There were two firms solicited and one proposal received. Delivery will begin June 30, 2000, with 500 per month and continue at the rate of 500 per month thereafter until complete. Solicitation issue date was Nov. 1, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Dec. 1, 1999. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F34601-98-G-0005-SALH).

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $49,800,000 firm-fixed-price-requirements contract to provide for 830 (best estimated quantity) augmentor ducts applicable to the F100PW220/220E engines on the F-16 aircraft. Equipment will be acquired and funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Expected contract completion date is September 2002. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-00-D-0040).

NAVY

Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded a $633,975,761 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-99-C-1090 to definitize the advance acquisition contract for the manufacture and delivery of ten FY 00 Lot IV MV-22 low-rate-initial-production aircraft to a fixed-price-incentive-fee/cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pa. (50%); Fort Worth, Texas (35%); and Amarillo, Texas (15%), and is expected to be completed by October 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Pacific-Sierra Research Corp., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $39,696,728 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for research and development of the nation's information

technology infrastructure. The research will span from information collection to human interaction with the information systems infrastructure for large-scale knowledge management applications. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va. (70%), and Menlo Park, Calif. (30%), and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a broad agency announcement, and to date, 70 white papers have been received and 24 selected for award. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-00-D-8502).

Kollmorgen Corp., Electro-Optical Division, Northampton, Mass., is being awarded a $17,563,344 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-95-C-6208 to exercise an option for on photonics mast production unit to support the Photonics Mast Program. The photonics mast is a non-hull penetrating electronic imaging subsystem of the command and control system that incorporates visible, infrared and electronic support measures sensors and stealth features that will provide new capabilities for attack submarines. Work will be performed in Northampton, Mass. (66%); Lansdale, Pa. (17%); Portsmouth, R.I. (12%); San Jose, Calif. (3%); and Mason, Ohio (2%), and is expected to be completed by January 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Earl Industries, Inc., Portsmouth, Va., is being awarded an $11,570,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the restricted availability of USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3) which consists of both drydock and non-drydock related repairs. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Va., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the internet with six proposals solicited and two offers received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, USN, Portsmouth, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-95-H-8059).

Maden Tech Consulting Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $9,735,684 cost-plus-fixed-fee service contract for research, engineering, technical and management support services for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Information Systems Office. This contract provides the capability for DARPA to do technology demonstrations and integration in a common area to facilitate interaction among the mutually supporting programs. This contract contains four options, which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $48,333,611. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by December 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the internet, and two offers were received. The Indian Head Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity (N00174-00-D-0002).

Harkins Builders, Inc., Silver Spring, Md., is being awarded an $8,117,372 firm-fixed-price contract for the design/construction of a three-story bachelor enlisted quarters at Fleet Combat Training Center, Dam Neck. Work will be performed in Virginia Beach, Va., and is expected to be completed by November 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the

current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 77 proposals solicited and seven offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-98-C-8029).
