DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Forest Products Distributors, Inc.*, Rapid City, S.D., is being awarded a $14,847,500 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for lumber and related products under the Prime Vendor program. Three hundred proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in Powers, Mich.; Albuquerque, N.M., Manchester, Iowa; Portland Ore.; Hill City, S.D.; and Fargo, N.D. Work is expected to be completed by March 26, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO500-00-D-0013).

NAVY

Tidewater Construction Company, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $39,068,400 firm-fixed-price contract for Pier 21 replacement and Pier 22 demolition. This includes demolition of existing concrete pier and construction of a new two level pre-cast concrete pier and all incidental related work at Naval Air Station, Norfolk. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 25 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-99-C-9042).

ARMY

Raytheon Systems Co. (formerly Hughes Aircraft Co.), El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded $2,171,547 as part of a $47,758,650 firm-fixed-price contract for 80 Improved Bradley Acquisition Subsystems (IBAS) Bradley Eye Safe Laser Range Finder (BELRF) kits, with option quantities of 24 IBAS BELRF kits, 125 Operation Desert Storm (ODS) BELRF kits, and various spares for FY2000. Following year option quantities are for 150 IBAS BELRF kits, 125 ODS BELRF kits, and various spares for FY2001; option quantities of 160 IBAS BELRF kits, 125 ODS BELRF kits, and various spares for FY2002; option quantities of 134 IBAS BELRF kits, 125 ODS BELRF kits, and various spares for FY2003. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif. (73%) and Windber, Pa. (27%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31,

2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 22, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-00-C-0033).

AAI Corp., Cockeysville, Md., is being awarded a $17,800,000 increment as part of a $41,802,927 modification to fixed-price-incentive/cost-plus-fixed-fee contract DAAH01-99-C-0142, for low rate initial production of Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems. Work will be performed in Cockeysville, Md., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on May 3, 1999, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Systems Co., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $48,519,996 modification to firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract DAAH01-99-C-0126, for Tube Launched Optically Tracked Wire-Guided (TOW) Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) full rate production multi-year FY2000 funding. The TOW ITAS system includes an improved target acquisition and fire control system for application of the High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) which decreases target acquisition time and engagement ranges, increases probability of hit, system/crew survivability and improves man/machine interface. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas (77.6%); Syosset, N.Y. (5.9%); Melborne, Fla. (7.6%); Garland, Texas (3.3%); and Ontario, Canada (5.6%), and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 26, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Pease Construction Inc., Lakewood, Wash., is being awarded a $5,386,891 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a modified Army standard design, handicapped accessible athletic complex, to include: gymnasium with bleachers, weight training and exercise rooms, saunas, laundry, administrative and storage rooms, locker rooms and showers. The project includes asphalt concrete paving, Portland cement concrete sidewalks, landscaping and irrigation system, and connection of building utilities to base utilities systems. Work will be performed in North Fort Lewis, Wash., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 1, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 236 bids solicited on Oct. 15, 1999, and 14 bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash., is the contracting activity (DACA67-00-C-0202).
