ARMY

General Dynamics, Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., was awarded on Dec. 30, 1999, a $3,373,782 increment as part of a $15,000,000 (base year total) cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with a cumulative total of $73,300,000, if all options are exercised. The contractor will perform cyclic and catastrophic overhaul of up to 300 Mobile Subscriber Equipment Systems, Phase III, both in the continental United States and for the U.S. Army Europe. Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2005. Of the total contract funds, $3,373,782 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 15, 1999. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-00-C-F001).

United Defense L.P., Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $5,096,756 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAE07-96-C-X069, for 18 Multiple Launch Rocket System (M993) Carriers with contractor furnished engines and transmissions for Greece; and 4 Multiple Launch Rocket System (M993) Carriers with contractor furnished engines and transmissions for Denmark. Work will be performed in York, Pa. (90%), and Aiken, S.C. (10%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 24, 1997. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

FN Manufacturing Inc., Columbia, S.C., is being awarded an $8,986,350 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAE20-96-C-0326, for 3,198 Squad Auto Weapons (M249). Work will be performed in Columbia, S.C., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 21, 1996. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., was awarded on Dec. 20, 1999, a $1,711,407 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DACW43-98-C-0417, with a cumulative total of $7,871,666, for lease of a Cutterhead Dredge. Work will be performed in Modoc, Ill. (7%); Saverton, Mo. (5%); Clarksville, Mo. (6%); Kampville, Mo. (13%); Granite City, Ill. (12%); St. Louis, Mo. (17%); Elsberry, Mo. (7%); Balchtown, Ill. (5%); Scott City, Mo. (9%); Rockwood, Ill. (5%); and Meredosia, Ill. (14%), and is expected to be completed by June 3, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on Feb. 26, 1998 and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis, Mo., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

United Technologies Corp., Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Group, West Palm Beach, Fla., was awarded on Dec. 30, a $179,965,669 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for twelve F119 engines and associated preliminary field support for the F-22 Production Representative Test Vehicle program. Expected contract completion date is April 2002. At this time, $58,363,126 of the contract funds have been obligated. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity. (Contract # F33657-98/C-2004, P00008)

Systems and Electronics, Inc., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on Dec. 30, a $69,079,069 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for forty-eight 60K (Tunner) Loaders. The Loader is a mobile vehicle that is used to load and unload pallets from transport aircraft. The work will be performed at McDaniel at Thornburg, West Plains, Mo. One firm was solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is March 2002. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity. BDM Corp., Fairfax, Va., was awarded on Dec. 30, a $65,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for approximately 845 directed manning personnel to perform CY2000 operation, maintenance, and administrative support for the F-15C/D/S aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. The work will be performed at various locations in Saudi Arabia. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began December 1999 and negotiations were completed December 1999. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity. (Contract # 09603-00/C-0047)

The Boeing Co., McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on Dec. 30, a $149,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for approximately 676 directed manning personnel to perform CY2000 operation and maintenance support for the F-15C/D/S aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. The work will be performed at various locations in Saudi Arabia. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. The work is expected to be completed December 2000. Solicitation began November 9, 1999;

NAVY

Bath Iron Works Corp., Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $74,096,971 cost-plus-award-fee option for lead yard class services on the DDG 51 class AEGIS destroyer program. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by January 2001. Funding to be provided at option award is $32,006,941. Contract funds in the amount of $1,135,955 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command is the contracting activity (N00024-96-C-2800).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $15,780,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-99-C-1226 to provide funding for long lead materials for 42 FY-2001 F/A-18E/F aircraft. This does not constitute a multi-year procurement. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (60%) and Los Angeles, Calif. (40%), and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

L-3 Communications Corp., Ocean Systems Division, Sylmar, Calif., is receiving a $15,153,688 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-6214 to exercise an option for an additional quantity of 130,515 man-hours for engineering and technical services for development of Navy towed systems. Work will be performed in Sylmar, Calif., and is expected to be completed by April 2001. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems, Inc., a Lockheed Martin Company, Syracuse, N.Y., is receiving a $7,519,622 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-99-C-6212 to exercise an option for an additional quantity of 88,736 man-hours for engineering and technical services for development of Navy towed systems. Services provide for the design, development, integration, manufacture, delivery, testing, logistic support, and associated program management of Navy Towed Systems and towed systems products for the upgrade and/or replacement of existing Navy towed systems. Work will be performed in Syracuse, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
