DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Multi-Unit Chain Distribution Svc., Inc.*, Duluth, Ga., is being awarded a $16,500,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for full line food distribution under the Prime Vendor program. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2963).

Bergen Brunswig Medical Corporation, Orange, Calif., is being awarded a $12,279,760 firm-fixed-price modified-requirements contract for medical and surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Lake Zurich, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 28, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-96-D-7117).

AIR FORCE

Veridian Engineering Inc., Buffalo, NY., is being awarded an $11,157,000 (maximum) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for the Aperture and Receiver Development Laboratory program. This effort will develop, test, simulate, and analyze antenna, receiver and signal processing technology. This will include definition of signal sets and requirements to meet performance goals. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force can issue delivery orders obligating funds up to the maximum value indicated above, though actual requirements may fall short of that amount. Expected contract completion date is Jan. 14, 2007. Solicitation issue date was July 27, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Dec. 6, 1999. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-99-D-1447).

NAVY

Harkins Builders, Silver Spring, Md., is being awarded a $17,600,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of two three-story, 75 room module bachelor enlisted quarters, and the demolition of two building at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Va. Work will be performed in Quantico, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 24 proposals solicited and four offers received. The Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N62477-98-C-0033).

ViaSat, Inc, Carlsbad, Calif., is being awarded a $11,723,311 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity letter sole-source contract for long lead materials and non-recurring engineering effort to support first article qualification and production of 27 multifunctional information distribution system (MIDS) low volume terminals (LVT). The MIDS-LVT provides secure, high capacity, jam resistant, digital data and voice communications capability for ship and air platforms. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the total value of the contract to $43,656,936. Work will be performed in Carlsbad, Calif. (54%), Melbourne, Fla., (34%), and Cincinnati, Ohio (12%), and is expected to be completed by April 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00039-00-D-2101).

Data Link Solutions, Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa is being awarded a $8,035,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity letter sole source contract for long lead materials and non-recurring engineering effort to support first article qualification and production of 27 multifunctional information distribution system (MIDS) low volume terminals (LVT). The MIDS-LVT provides secure, high capacity, jam resistant, digital data and voice communications capability for ship and air platforms. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the total value of the contract to $42,249,000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Work will be performed in Wayne, N.J. (50%) and Cedar Rapids, Iowa (50%), and is expected to be completed by April 2002. This contract was not competitively procured. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, is the contracting activity (N00039-00-D-2100).
