DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

PYA/Monarch, Inc., Lexington, S.C., is being awarded an estimated $27,500,000 firm-fixed price indefinite-quantity contract for food and beverage support under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Walterboro, S.C., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 20, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2964).

Placid Refining Company LLC*, Port Allen, La.,is being awarded an estimated $43,274,480 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, JP5. Work will be performed in Port Allen, La. Two hundred seventy-one proposals were solicited and 23 were received. Work is expected to be completed by April 30, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-00-D-0471).

Equilon Enterprises LLC**, Houston, Texas.,is being awarded an estimated $129,260,704 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, JP5. Work will be performed at the Equilon Deer Park Manufacturing & Refining Complex, Texas. Two hundred seventy-one proposals were solicited and 23 were received. Work is expected to be completed by April 30, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-00-R-0475).

NAVY

Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $216,573,380 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-98-C-2107 for FY 2000 advance planning for the refueling and complex overhaul of USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) and its reactor plants. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Xerox Corp., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $15,764,778 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for copier equipment and services in support of the shipboard multipurpose copier program (SMCP) for surface and sub-surface vessels of the U.S. Navy, Military Sealift Command, afloat elements of the U.S. Fleet Marine Forces, and other deployable units of the federal government. This contract contains options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $68,269,184. Work will be performed in various locations worldwide yet to be determined, and is expected to be completed by February 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 17 proposals solicited and one offer received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00140-00-D-H034).

AeroThrust Corp., Celsius Aviation Services, Miami, Fla., is being awarded a $8,019,970 modification to previously awarded contract N68520-95-D-0002 for an additional six months of effort for engine depot maintenance of JT8D series engines for Navy/Air Force C-9 aircraft. Work will be performed in Miami, Fla., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

British Telecom, Preston, United Kingdom, a non-U.S. company is being awarded today a firm fixed-price contract for provision, management and maintenance of satellite gateway services including terrestrial leased circuits for U.S. Navy ships operating on satellites in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). The estimated value of the contract over its five (5) year performance period is $10,788,000. This award contains no FMS requirements. This Contract will be awarded with FY 2000 operation and maintenance funds obligated for the base year. The requirement was solicited and awarded on a full and open competition basis in which nine offerors were solicited and two offers were received. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization-Europe, DITCO-Europe, Sembach, Germany is the contracting activity (DCA400-00-C-0010).
