Science Application International Corp (SAIC) is being awarded an estimated $80,000,000 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract to function as Integrator Prime Vendor to provide supply chain management and benchstock support at five locations. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., Oklahoma City, Okla., Midwest City, Okla., Ogden, Utah, and Earth City, Mo. Ten proposals were solicited and eight were received. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 20, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0500-00-D-BP02).
Lockheed Martin Federal System, Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $63,553,782 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-98-C-6201 to manufacture five acoustic rapid commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) insertion (A-RCI) Phase II kits; provide labor and material necessary to upgrade four A-RCI Phase II kits to Phase III, three Phase III kits to Phase IV, and six Phase II kits to Phase IV; procure associated spares, and provide engineering services. The A-RCI is a fast attack submarine sonar upgrade that provides significant improvement in towed array data processing and display. Work will be performed in Manassas, Va. (78%), Clearwater, Fla. (20%), and Portsmouth, R.I. (2%), and is expected to be completed by October 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
