NAVY

W. R. Chavez, Construction, Inc., Poway, Calif.; A & D Fire Protection, Santee, Calif.; Sea Pac Engineering, Inc., Reseda, Calif.; Stronghold Engineering, Riverside, Calif.; Mackone Development, Inc., Los Angeles, Calif.; and H. B. DevCon, Inc., Downey, Calif., are being awarded a not-to-exceed $150,000,000 (base year and three options years) firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple awardee construction contract. The work to be performed will consist of designing/building and/or construction for renovation, alteration, repair, and associated architecture/engineering work at various Navy and Marine Corps installations. W. R. Chavez, Construction is being awarded the minimum guarantee of $50,000 and the initial seed project of $1,395,000. The aggregate of $150,000,000 will potentially be shared among all six contractors with each being awarded the minimum guarantee of $50,000. Work will be performed at Navy and Marine Corp installations primarily in Southern California (90%) and other as yet to be determined locations within Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico (10%). Work is expected to be complete by March 2004. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 160 proposals solicited and 25 offers received. These six contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the multiple awardee contract. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-99-D-6441).

Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems, Inc., Syracuse, N.Y., is being awarded a $6,447,551 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-99-C-6212 to exercise an option for five TB-29A/BQ towed array low rate initial production systems. Work will be performed in Syracuse, N.Y. (60%) and Sylmar, Calif. (40%), and is expected to be completed by March 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

TRW ICBM Systems, Clearfield, Utah, is being awarded a $19,334,507 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee-contract, F42610-98-C-0001-P00351, to provide for assembly and test of replacement battery systems for the Minuteman missile system and for the Arming and Fusing Assembly on the Minuteman. Expected contract completion date is Feb. 28, 2003. Negotiation completion date was March 7, 2000. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity.

Technical and Management Services, Calverton, Md., is being awarded a $6,300,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for development of procedures and local sources for spares and repair in support of the F-15 aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is Feb. 28, 2001. Solicitation issue date was Dec. 13, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Jan. 14, 2000. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-00-F-0029).

Kevin's Construction/Gracon Corporation Joint Venture, Belourt, N.D., is being awarded a $6,000,000 (Not-to-Exceed) requirements-contract to provide for the Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) through March 2001 at Grand Forks AFB, N.D. The SABER effort will encompass maintenance, repair, and minor construction work. Further funds will be obligated as delivery orders are issued. Solicitation was posted on Electronic Posting System, there were four proposals received. Expected contract completion date is March 2001. Solicitation issue date was Nov. 23, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Jan. 26, 2000. The 319th Contracting Squadron, Grand Forks AFB, N.D., is the contracting activity (F32605-00-DC002).
