AIR FORCE

Sundt Construction, Inc., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $42,360,310 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for demolition of 199 units of family hosing and construction of 258 units of military family housing at Edwards AFB, Calif. Expected contract completion date is March 2005. Solicitation issue date was Dec. 13, 1999. Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04700-00-D-0001).

Niking Corp., Waipahu, Hawaii, is being awarded a $24,332,807 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for renovation of 151 units of military family housing at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. Expected contract completion date is 700 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. Solicitation issue date was Dec. 13, 1999. The 15th Contracting Squadron, Hickam AFB, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (F64605-00-R0001).

American Renovation and Construction Company, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded an $11,884,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for construction of 62 units of military family housing at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Expected contract completion date is October 2007. Solicitation issue date was Nov. 16, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Feb. 14, 2000. The 65th Contracting Squadron, Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal, is the contracting activity (F61040-00-C0005).

NAVY

J. A. Jones Construction Company, Inc., Washington, D.C. is being awarded a $40,724,000 firm-fixed-price contract for renovations to Building 215 at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Va. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Va, and is expected to be completed by February 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 82 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-89-C-9154).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $41,000,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-99-C-1226 to provide economic order quantity funding on the existing advanced acquisition contract to preserve the 7.4% savings for a 222 F/A-18E/F aircraft multiyear procurement. The multiyear contract is anticipated to be executed in March 2000 assuming Milestone III decision approval and the appropriate certifications to Congress in accordance with Section 121 of the Authorization Act. This action does not constitute a commitment to award a multiyear procurement contract prior to Milestone III decision and appropriate certifications to Congress. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (60%) and Los Angeles, Calif. (40%), and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

General Dynamics Information Systems, Inc., Bloomington, Minn., is being awarded a $9,996,162 fixed-price delivery order against a previously awarded requirements contract for 66 AN/AYK-14(V) standard airborne computers for the F/A-18E/F program. Work will be performed in Bloomington, Minn., and is expected to be completed by February 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00163-96-D-0014).

ARMY

Beneco Enterprises Inc., Sandy, Utah, is being awarded $240,000 as part of a $12,000,000 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract, with a potential cumulative total of $69,000,000 if all options are exercised. The contractor will perform small and medium real property maintenance projects for repair, maintenance, minor construction, and remediation of installation managed facilities, including, but not limited to structures, roads, cultural assets and other real property. Work will be performed at Fort Benning, Ga., and is expected to be completed by March 20, 2005. Of the total contract funds, $240,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 60 bids solicited on Nov. 9, 1999, and nine bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACA21-00-D-0006).

Cabaco Inc., Sierra Vista, Ariz., is being awarded a $6,559,624 increment as part of a $32,799,686 firm-fixed-price contract for non-personal services for Operations and Maintenance Post and Housing Facilities functions for the Directorate of Installation Support. Work will be performed at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2005. Of the total contract funds, $6,559,624 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 23 bids solicited on Aug. 18, 1999, and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command, Fort Huachuca, Ariz., is the contracting activity (DABT63-00-C-0003).

McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, Mesa, Ariz., is being awarded a $15,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for long lead advance procurement for the AH-64D Apache Longbow, Lot 6. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 1, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-00-C-0001).

Raytheon Co., Electronic Systems, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $7,861,005 modification as part of cost-plus-award-fee contract DAAH01-99-C-0028, for PATRIOT engineering services. Work will be performed in Burlington, Mass. (6%); Huntsville, Ala. (6%); Andover, Mass. (2%); Tewksbury, Mass. (66%); El Paso, Texas (1%); Bedford, Mass. (18%), and Orlando, Fla. (1%), and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 21, 1998. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Selco Inc., Solana Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $7,732,351 firm-fixed-price contract, with a cumulative total of $9,158,681, if all options are included, to design-build military family housing. This project consists of the demolition of 14 buildings; totaling 70 multiplex family housing units, which includes asbestos and led paint abatement. Additionally, site restoration and the construction of 60 two-bedroom units are also required. The design includes: site grading, new roads and utility systems, electric heating and cooling, energy efficient lighting and appliances, dual pane energy efficient windows, hard wired smoke detectors, ground fault receptacles, landscaping, recreation areas, sing-car garages, driveways, street lighting, utility services, storm drainage, walkways, and tot-lots. Work will be performed at Beale Air Force Base, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 164 bids solicited on Sept. 14, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACA05-00-C-0004).

SEI Corp., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded a $5,408,823 firm-fixed-price letter contract on March 17, 2000, for 120 Heavy Expanded Mobility Ammunition Trailers (M989A1). Work will be performed in West Plains**, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 30, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-00-C-S008).
