DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Petroleum Traders Corp.*, Ft. Wayne, Ind., is being awarded a $17,271,416 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for DL1 diesel fuel, DL2 diesel fuel, midgrade unleaded gasoline, premium unleaded gasoline, regular unleaded gasoline, #2 burner oil, LS2 diesel fuel, and HS2 diesel fuel. Four hundred fifteen sealed bids were solicited and thirty-one were received. Work will be performed in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2003. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-00-D-4013).

Alliant Food Service, Inc., Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded a $5,400,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for full-line food distribution. Ninety-nine proposals were solicited and three were received. Work is expected to be completed by March 23, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2922).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $16,200,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the procurement of additional hardware for FY 00 Trident II (D5) production and deployed systems support contract. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Program, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00030-99-C-0100).

Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $15,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity delivery order contract to provide technical and engineering services in support of the P-3 Sensor Integration Data Fusion Efforts. Work will be performed in Eagan, Minn., and is expected to be completed in March 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-00-D-0216).

Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $12,815,696 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for U.K. FY 01 Trident II (D5) program support. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Program, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00030-00-C-0034).

Rogers Quinn (RQ) Construction, Inc.*, Bonsall, Calif., is being awarded a $6,462,000 task order under a multiple award design/build order contract for all labor, material and equipment necessary for repair/replacement of a tactical vehicle maintenance facility, warehouse and engineering shop facility for the First Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. Work will be performed in Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be completed by May 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 46 proposals solicited, 19 offers received and award made to multiple contractors on 31 March 1999. The basic total contract amount is not-to-exceed $150,000,000 (base period and two option years). These contractors compete for each task order under the terms and conditions of the existing multiple award contract. Four proposals were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-99-D-6202).

ARMY

SAFT America Inc., Valdese, N.C., is being awarded $7,464,129 as part of an estimated $27,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. The contractor will provide a guaranteed minimum of 30,000 packages (4 batteries per package) High Performance Lithium Batteries (BA-X590A/U, with an estimated maximum quantity of 112,500 packages. Work will be performed in Valdese, N.C., and is expected to be completed by March 15, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the Business Opportunity Page on July 29, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-00-D-A255).

DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY (DARPA)

Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va., and Metal Storm Ltd., Brisbane, Australia, are being awarded a $1,700,000 increment of a $10,250,000 other-transaction-for-prototypes for the Metal Storm Development Program including Advanced Sniper Rifle Development. Work will be performed in McLean, Va. (50%), Flintstone, Md. (22%), Hopkins, Minn. (17%), and Brisbane, Australia (11%) and is expected to be completed by March 21, 2003. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity (MDA972-00-9-0007).
