AIR FORCE

Textron Systems Corp., Wilmington, Mass., is being awarded a $74,177,639 fixed-price-incentive contract to provide for 300 CBU-105C/B sensor fused weapons and associated warranty and sustaining support for the BLU-108B Joint Standoff Weapon. Expected contract completion date is May 31, 2002. Negotiation completion date was March 31, 2000. Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-00-C-0009-P00001).

ARMY

Shorts Missile Systems, Ltd., Castlereagh, Belfast, Northern Ireland, (and major subcontractors Boeing Mesa, McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, Mesa, Ariz., and Lockheed Martin Electronics & Missiles, Orlando, Fla.) is being awarded a $13,000,000 increment of a $23,999,989 modification to cost-plus-fixed-fee contract DAAJ02-97-C-0001, for Air-to-Air Starstreak (ATASK) Technical Demonstration Program (S4 Preparation). The objective of the program is to continue further system upgrades and performance validation testing to complete preparation for the Congressionally mandated side-by-side operational demonstration with the Stinger missile. Work will be performed in Northern Ireland (40%); Mesa, Ariz. (35%), and Orlando, Fla. (25%), and is expected to be completed by Oct. 14, 2002. Of the total contract funds, $13,000,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 3, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Fort Eustis, Va., is the contracting activity.

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant, New Brighton, Minn., was awarded on March 31, 2000, a $21,293,974 modification to firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract DAAA09-99-C-0066, for 177,900 cartridges M910, TPDS-T (25 mm,); 715,260 cartridges M793, TP-T (25 mm), and 998,910 cartridges M788, TP (LW30 mm), for training rounds. Work will be performed in Radford, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on April 20, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.

American Renovation & Construction Co.,* San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $10,112,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of 60 family housing units to replace 60 existing units. The project includes nine two-bedroom units, 39 three-bedroom units, and 12 four-bedroom units. Work includes site clearing and bedrock excavation, utility systems, roads, sidewalks, and landscaping, privacy fencing and neighborhood playgrounds. Demolition of the 60 existing units will include asbestos and lead base paint abatement. Work will be performed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and is expected to be completed by March 29, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were seven bids solicited on Nov. 22, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash., is the contracting activity (DACA67-00-C-0220).

Longbow Limited Liability Co., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $10,400,780 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAH01-99-C-0088, for the manufacture and delivery of 130 Longbow Hellfire Modular Missiles for Singapore and Israel. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla. (50%), and Baltimore, Md. (50%), and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 7, 1998. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Primex Technologies, Marion, Ill., is being awarded a $12,214,884 modification to firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract DAAA09-99-C-0067, for 217,460 cartridges M910, TPDS-T (25 mm); and 874,240 cartridges M793, TP-T (25 mm), for training rounds. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on April 20, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.
